• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    IT FINALLY HAPPENED

I have a 2010 RT-S with 18,000 miles and no limp mode ever. Just want new readers to see this also. Sorry some are having this problem but now that I say this I will probably have one now, lol. So just for new readers there are many Spyders that have no trouble at all. Just this weekend on a...

Fan Blocking Plate Causes Heat Damage to RT

Well said. I find many, not all Spyder riders have not been on many other bikes and just don`t understand bikes put off heat, you are for the most part on top of the motor, and you are outside where that heat goes. The thing we all like about the Spyder is the look and design and this does not...

Auto tune / install and HMF / do it yourself

I just wanted to add to this for people trying to get a grasp of this whole thing. As Texmac1011 has stated the Autotune does not make changes to the map but it is making adjustments to the AFR to match the map that is installed. That is why you should except your tabs so the map and what the...

Auto tune / install and HMF / do it yourself

No you do not use the old o2 sensor port, just leave all that alone. Weld your new one in and screw the new sensor you recieved in it. I may be wrong but I think the threads are not even the same?

Auto tune / install and HMF / do it yourself

I have a map I have made myself that is based on performance all the way. If you would like it let me know and I will email it to you to try. I still get 30-32 MPG with it. Yes the Autotune does all the work like you had hoped but you still need to tell it what you want at first or it will just...

    Rock in drive belt

I have a spot almost just like that on mine and that was 9,000 miles ago and still going strong. These belts are tougher than you think. I would just keep an eye on it and before long you won`t even think about it any more. If you worry about it then I would not hesitate to change it for peace...

Are There Still People Out There Who Don't Think Helmets Are Necessary?

I second this! Just try to run your own life, we can run ours be it good or bad choices. If we kill ourselves because of our choices then so be it. You people don`t understand the reasons we make our choices so just stop trying to do it for us. I think wearing a helmet is the best choice but I...

Anyone near me knows how to tune?

I have this system and it is worth the $$$. So much smoother through the whole power band, better fuel mileage, and more power with my other mods. I am not sure what it would do for a stock or any other setup.

For Those Who Track Gas Milage

I don`t usually check my gas mileage, maybe 4-times in the last 2-years but we were taking a long trip to the east coast pulling a trailer and I was curious what we would get so here are the facts: 2010 RT-S pulling a 5' lg. cargo box trailer by Best Trailer. Trailer was fully loaded. We rode...

WARNING FOR ALL RT OWNERS * You may want to check this on your machine

And also I have the smaller shield I got from CyncySpider and am going to have another 2" removed from the height of it but would like to have another 2010 shield for winter use so I can swap back and forth if anyone has one to sell.

WARNING FOR ALL RT OWNERS * You may want to check this on your machine

Mine broke in the middle of an 1,800 mile ride to the east coast. Luckily for me I was pulling my trailer so I just removed the shield all together and put it in the trailer. Riding 800 miles with no shield sucks and wouldn`t you know it, it had to rain on us for part of that. You don`t realize...

    Loose spyder

I had the same issue but it was not from the shocks. It was the allignment. Cowtown did an allignment and all is good now. It had been that way since I bought it. I put Elkas on which helped the handling but because you are stiffer did let me feel the dartyness more if that is a word. It is a...

    New muffler.

This is an old motorcycle drag racing trick. Change the dimeter for different tracks and conditions. I have a rod welded in mine after some trials with different sizes and it will add low end torque. You can also play with inline reducers to get the effect you want.
