• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Heat Blister

Not on the bike, on me. I'm not a complainer, in fact, this has happened many times to me and I never really thought so much of it, until my husband noticed it. I keep getting a blister on my right leg from the heat from my Spyder. Not a red spot, a blister. Should this be happening? I always...

Brake screeching w/ less than 350 miles

Hmmm Okay, so I have over 11k miles on my Spyder, and never had the squeaks until the 2nd adjustment to the parking brake. My dealer (is fantastic, and) is taking care of me on this. But, reading this makes me wonder if my issue is the same as above, or different? They are replacing pads and...

What is the Coolest thing you like about your Spyder?

For me it's Safety + SPEED Okay -I have become a speed junkie! But I can't help it- 'Mordrid' :spyder:wants to go fast! Only trouble is, I only live 3 miles from work, so the commute just makes me want to keep on riding!

    Wife's first ryde

Yep, she needs her own We used to ride 2-up, then my Hubby decided he wanted me to have my own, so he would be more comfy and we could also take the dog. My first ride was a sidecar rig, that was a blast and a great way for me to start (and there was no such thing as a Spyder a few years ago.)...

    WOW Freekin WOW

:2thumbs: So glad you're having so much fun!!! You are right about the power- I freaking love this machine! Ha- in fact, it's so fast and the throttle response is so amazing that it was the grain of rice that tipped the scale for my hubby to get his new, faster motorcycle- he couldn't keep...

    Arizona/California Spyder Ride to Laughlin

Dang! Can't make it, but this is a ride that would be right up my ally. Especially since I should have my Spyder back from the shop right about then :( I know you gave a lot of notice, but for me, I need even more notice. I don't have a set schedule, so I need a good 2-3 weeks lead time. I...

Where is Red Rock? Hey Jim, I live in AZ, but must admit I am ignorant about where Red Rock is? What dealer are you using? I go to Ride Now in Phoenix, they are very well versed, very helpful overall. Between myself and my husband (V-strom) we have really put them through the hoops finding...

    Alternate vendor for Drive Belt

Yahoo!! Can-Am steps up to the plate! My belt is being replaced under warranty! Thanks so much for all your help, Tony! -Karla p.s. My service guy said that "all of them are happening the same way- rock gets wedged in there..." So, who knows, maybe they will eventually fabricate...

    Alternate vendor for Drive Belt

Tony, Is there some sort of 'recall number' or update number or whatever that I should tell my dealer about, or just insist that they call Can-Am and push? I really like my dealer, and my service guy is really competent, but they service about 1000 suzuki and about 2 Can-Am (okay so I'm...

    Alternate vendor for Drive Belt

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a new drive belt for my Spyder that would be LESS than $325? Caught a rock in the belt, it just wedged right in there, and has now pierced through and sort of 'become one' with it. :( With labor and tax it's gonna be about $480 to...

    I need a little help...

Hey Liz, There IS a class for you. Just maybe looking in the wrong place. You should take Vernon Wade's class in Oregon. He teaches the STEP program for trikes & sidecars. Same principles apply to this ride. I took this class in '06 with my Ural sidecar, and it was the best thing I ever...

My spyder doesn't have to get out of the kitchen...

Yep, I too ride with all the gear all the time. It's not so much my foot, as much as about 3-4" above my ankle on the inside, right leg. And you're right about just a few degrees make all the difference. 85-95 or so, I don't really notice it. That's while we're still up north, like...

My spyder doesn't have to get out of the kitchen...

I Hear That :agree:In Phoenix, temps right now are fairly consistantly at about 108. Spyder can handle it, but my right inner shin gets really toasty! Came home Sunday with a nice red circle that lasted a whole day longer before it disappeared- yeesh! Also, I get some pretty good heat a...

    Two Happiest Days

Exhilarating is the word that most often comes to mind while riding! Love. this. machine! I can keep up with the speed of the others I ride with, it's comfortable, easy to ride, stable, carries all my stuff, including my dog :D and looks soooo flipping cool! My hubby keeps trying to...

    Hippo Hands or ???

Hee Hee We are going about the middle of September. I don't have a medical condition, unless being aclimated to 110 degree :yikes: Phoenix, AZ weather counts! For me, once it gets below 80, I am thinking it's chilly! I just know that it will be cool at night, and on the coast. Last time we...

    Hippo Hands or ???

Has anyone found an alternate product to Hippo Hands? We are taking a trip www.crozb.com in a few weeks, and I know I will be cold up North. Was wondering if anyone has tried something else, like ATV equivelant? I like hippo hands, but they are a little expensive, for what they are, in my...

They tell me I made history today

In Arizona I was told all different things. At the time I rode a sidecar rig. I was told that if I took a course, I would not have to take the ridden portion of the MC endorsement. Since no one offers that course for 3 wheels in AZ, off I went to Oregon. This actually was pretty good for...

    12 V power outlet

Huh. Just found this thread today, after installing 2 power adapters, Yesterday! ;) We mounted one on each side of the "dash" Okay, I was nervous as all get-out to do this ourselves, but my husband had just done it to his bike, and it came out looking professional, so I decided to make...
