• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My final Theory on Driveability issues after the recall (a little technical , sorry)

I agree with that and it seems a lot like in the days of old when people would buy a "test only" pipe to "test" their catalytic converter.:D I wasn't trying to rabble rouse but as everything people post about fixes I take it as rumor until I see a BRP logo on a document. I must have...

My final Theory on Driveability issues after the recall (a little technical , sorry)

Hey All, I don't want to rain on anyone's day here but pinching off the evap canister hose is considered tampering with smog controls violating EPA laws. I know if any shops were doing this in Taxifornia and if they were caught, they would face heavy fines. That being said, I find it hard to...

    a bee in the jacket

OK, I can one up that. I rode thru a swarm of bees and I ducked down low. I thought everything was fine until I felt a warm sensation in the crotch region and that quickly turned into a burning pain in family jewels. I then realized one got stuck between my crotch and the seat. nojoke I...

    Anyone used Ride On?

I have not experienced any air pressure bleed down for the last year it's been in my tires. Every time I check it, I scratch my head in wonder. It does smooth out the ride and well worth the extra benefit of flat resistance. :2thumbs:

    Can Am key question

The chip would show using an industrial machine and no it won't damage it. However it can be expensive. Almost the price of a new key.

    Ceramic coat vs taping

I was talking to Jethot about their Sterling Extreme ceramic coating. The coating is a 1700 degree coating and they coat both inside and outside of the pipe. They claim 30-40% drop in heat. The cost is about $350.00 for the 2 head pipes and Y-pipe that includes shipping back to you. You would...

Thanks, it sounds like Mission is putting a priority on this. Usually there is a 2-4 week wait.

    Exhaust wrap

I know someone already did go to ceramic but I am not sure if it was on this board or not. It was about a year ago. I did not hear any results.

    Ceramic coat vs taping

Are you going to be doing just the head pipes or are you going to do the Y-pipe too?

    Another overheated Spyder

Ken, I don't see any reason to be sorry. This kind of discussion helps dispell any myths so we can focus on the facts.

    Another overheated Spyder

I know one thing for sure. I will not let my wife ride her Spyder until after I have pulled all of the panels and perform a satisfactory thorough exam of anything that may be suspect. I will probably wrap the pipes while I am there. The above mentioned exhaust gasket theory seems to be...

    Another overheated Spyder

Ken wasn't overheating, I chose the title because I didn't want to write FIRE in the title. It may have scared a lot of already paranoid people.
