• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replaced brake rod, now need to bleed - any ideas why?

Yes that's exactly what happens. I've been a wrench my whole life and it's got me wondering if I'm suffering from some kind of brain cloud and can't see what the cause is. LOL I moved a foot peg and added a longer rod and now I need to bleed the brakes..............................as I said...

Replaced brake rod, now need to bleed - any ideas why?

2022 Spyder F 3 I just replaced the brake rod to allow moving my foot position from #3 to #4. Now it takes two pumps on the pedal to get good feeling pedal. Any idea why that happened ? I am getting ready to bleed the brakes but WTF never expected this to cause a need for bleeding. Rich

    New F 3 Rider's View

Trikes may be OK but they always scared me a tad. Must be all the lost skin I got riding my Honda three wheeler. I think that for me part of the love at first ride on the Spyder is how close a feeling it has to a sled (snowmobile) and how you ride either one is a lot alike. Please don't LOL...

    New F 3 Rider's View

Well after having my bike for almost a month we're starting to get to know each other. I've been making it a point to switch back and forth between two and three wheels and it is getting easier each time. I like the simple comfort of just cruising alon the country roads where the Spyder alows...

New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

Hi Deanna, Really do love the ride. There are a few things I'll be changing such as where the brake pedal is in relation to my foot (I get a cramp in my ankle) looks to be an easy fix. I also plan to add foot boards for the same reason; plus it will make it easy for Holly (wife) to hop on and...

New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

DOOO, Thank you for asking how I like my new scooter (not sure why some folks want pictures of a motorbike that they can see on the CanAm web site, I guess it's only proof of life or some such) and to answer you question..............I loved the thing. The handle in a special way that does...

New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

I will take it easy. In my youth I did a lot of testing of Race Cars so I do know to sneak up on speed. Learned right off that these vehicles have push because of the design much like a sled has. They also like a relaxed hand on the bars so they can find their own way. Putting about is my...

New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

Well I'm not much of a picture taker. If I get time later in the coming week I'll see what I can do LOL I'm just so old all I have is a flip phone so for me it's kind of a special deal. Then I have to figure out to get it from a camera to the computer then from the computer to the forum. Got...

New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

After getting all the forums help with deciding on which bike to get and going to the thread about new riders (Boy was that hard to do for an ex-racer, crew chief, yada, yada) and what a huge help that was. Just the part about not hanging on too hard really made a difference! So short/long...

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Hi Rod, Thanks for all the information. I looked at the links fro the front brake set-up and for the most part they look to be easy enough to put together. My problem is much like yours in that I can do the work but with out the time. I would prefer a hand brake and my wife really wants one...

What is an ECU worth for a 2014 RTL? How much do you insure it for?

Shipping Parts, I must agree that you insure items for the amount that you'd not be willing to pay out of pocket to replace. Having spent most of my life working in environments where time and schedules were of primary import I always consider not only the cost of the bits but what it will...

How important are those front brake spring clips??

The spring clips keep the pads from trying to chase rotor. You want to keep the pads lined up with each other and centered in the caliper. If they were not important why would the manufacturer spend money on them ? Your dealer should have gotten on that right away. Rich

Searching for seals/flat ring on rear brake caliper piston - RT 2010

I would try a firm called Brakecrafters. They are on-line and know brakes and seal kits/pistons. They have supplying parts for our race bikes for years and have a good stock of bits and get stuff out the door in a hurry.

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Hello Rod, Thanks for the info a windshield is at the top of the list. The wife also wants a normal motorbike brake lever so that is also at the top of the list. Being a retired car racer I will be making the bloody thing handle better with better shocks and a sway-bar up-grade. As far as...

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Not Confused any more ! I really want to thank everyone who gave me their thoughts on my Ryker V's Spyder and which way to go. I had offers to go places and see how some of the choices felt and all kinds of options and thoughts. I was lucky enough to get a chance to try out both machines. I...
