• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just sold my Harley and have follow up questions - what spec RT; Base, Ltd, Sea to Sky? Used, or new?

All three were from private persons. Dealers do not seem very flexible. And private vehicle sales do not have to pay sales tax in AZ. Win win. First one, the guy told me later he was at happy hour when he accepted the offer. Second one, I said if I go get a cashier's check right now, will you...

Just sold my Harley and have follow up questions - what spec RT; Base, Ltd, Sea to Sky? Used, or new?

Mileage is not a big deal on the 1330 ACE motor if it was been properly maintained. 10K is just broken in. I have bought three used 2018's with 7500, 8500 and the latest at 4100 miles. All three were/are good machines. I sold the first one last Sept with something like 28K on the clock and the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I have a 9x12' man cave in Arizona and 10x12' one in Washington, both are very good at hiding things that I am looking for. Even the Spyder joined the party this afternoon. I was putting all the stuff, rain gear, tools, GPS, Android Auto display back, and a plug cig lighter volt meter/USB port...

Recommend anyone for a Sway Bar Install In So Cal?

I did a few on a friends ramps, one on a 4 post lift with the center panel removed under the front of the Spyder and the latest one a few weeks ago lifting one wheel with a hoist that I used to lift a heavy sliding 5th hitch out of my truck. Notice I had a safety line running off the upper side...

Thinking of switching to a Spyder, any others jumped from their Harley's to Spyders? Any advice welcome...

I tell people you just "guide it" out of the open road. Activate CC, rest your hands on the handlebars, and gently keep it in the part of the line you're riding. Even though the Spyder is wider than a 2 wheeler, we still ride staggered in a group rides. I lead a lot, so I stay to the left part...

    Life's Little Pleasures...

I retired as a senior data network designer at a nation wide bank. My last big project was managing the installation of new Cisco equipment in all the branches and ATMs in Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. Did it from a home office in Washington State.

    Life's Little Pleasures...

I was living at home and attending a Junior College. A year and a half in of that, I decided it was time to spread my wings. I had applied to the USCG Academy, but failed to pass the test with a high enough score to make it (USCG Academy is not by appointment). So I enlisted in the USCG, going...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I used to come up to Noyo River to work on the KARR 222 radio on the 82 footer a lot. It would blow the bridge rectifier that fed current to the stepper motor to change channels.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Stay off of Highway 1 or it will be a two day trip each way. I spent a 1.5 years in Point Arena in 1967/68 while in the USCG at the Loran A Station. If I had shipped over I would have gone to Samoa to run the electronic repair ship there.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I have now replaced 6 or 7 sway bars now, drove up ramps on some, four post lift with a center panel remove, floor jack, and the last one as pictured in post #3928 (see that page linked below) which was one of the quickest ways for old bar out, new bar in. Only need my thumb to raise it...

    Life's Little Pleasures...

My step daughter showed up with a new baby years ago with tires on her car with cables show in the front tires!!!! I took it and put new tires on it. The worthless husband left her shortly after that. Grand daughter is in her late 39's early 40's now and has her own children, and a really nice...

First post, long time lurker - Will Elka Stage 2 shocks and a beefier sway bar make appreciable improvements to cornering?

Fronts are no issue, except some tire shops do not have the right cone to balance them. Learn to and purchase the correct tools, and you can do the rear yourself. Or find someone in your area willing to help.

Is anybody using a Bear Track BTM76132S Trailer to transport a late model RTL?

If the 11' is to the front of the V, then I think you will have trouble with the Spyder facing forward. And to trailer the Spyder the other way around, you will have to remove the windshield. You really need to test fit it before buying it, or get more detailed measurements.
