• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brake Failure message

I caused one about a month ago when someone tried to piggyback through the security gate. Resevoirs were full, no pressure loss on the pedal as code indicated. Three on/off clicks of the ignition key and it cleared.

    Awesome Aftermarket Exhaust!

Just lurking these days, but that's good looking/sounding. Like the size, not sure why it's $100 more than all the others or even why it's $100 at all, super simple and minimal materials. But my current exhaust is just about ready to retire, hmmm...thanx for posting the find.

    Tire upgrade

Had some Falken 195/60/14's installed on the front, was hoping for Toyo Proxes 225/50/14 but the rim couldn't handle them. Discount Tire was able to balance them, too. Love the stout look of them, the handling and feel is great! May be just enough room for the fenders in stock fashion...but I...

225/50R-15 Kumho Ecsta AST on 2010 RS

It's an actual car tire, I do believe the sidewalls are some rigid compared to the Kenda, still running 28 in mine. Great tire for the price, hardly showing any wear.

    Oh Yeah....Hellooo Saturday

Well, is was a great time! Had to ride through some rain on the trip there, but it was nice to arrive and find a dry track. Didn't notice any Spyders in the parking area, maybe next time.

    Oh Yeah....Hellooo Saturday

Ok...tomorrow it is, 21st of July. My Spyder is my primary vehicle and just came out of inspection and tune-up, I'm going on the Buell again. Starts at 4pm, but after being on a flightline all day, think I'll wait until 6. Fun to watch if nothing else, see you there IF the monsoon behaves.

The Hindle finally blew, so what to do?

Love to see the creativity, I have made a few myself and currently have a chopped stock exhaust from a 3rd party. However, +1 on the HMF, I have one on my Buell 1125CR which is also a Rotax and it's a great can! It's done some track time and shows no wear.

    30 tooth front Sprocket

I was running dimension specs for a larger diameter rear that had similar or slightly slimmer width for the rear tire. Can't remember what the width was but a 275 would fit if I remember right and it was slightly thinner...wonder how that would do mpg/rpm wise with the 30 tooth. 4th would...

DPS Problem and my dealer has NO IDEA what to do!?!?!

Sounds like they let their BUDS subscription expire if that's the best they could help you, it's happened here.

Here's the next event. He would most likely run Spyders between bike sessions. It's also a fun evet to watch. Jake Holden and others often show. A night of various vehicles to watch depending on attendance...high speed shifter carts, super motos, sportbikes, pocket bikes...

Track session for Spyders in Tucson, AZ!

I did a track night tonight at the Musselman Honda Cirtcuit track here in Tucson tonight on the Buell. Despite my previous understanding that the time I attended a sportbike night with my Spyder made them to nervous to allow this again...he's good with it and thinks a Spyder event is a good...

    Oh Yeah....Hellooo Saturday

Ok, had a GREAT time on the Buell at this track tonight. It was an open event for sportbikes, didn't make an effort soon enough to the right people if it was "Spyder Friendly". Once there, I located the man in charge(Charlie) and asked him if there was a problem with bringing the Spyder out...

Spyder runs great after 20 minutes cut it off and battery is dead.

Is Spyder new/new to you or a new problem? Any new electric installations or since you have owned it? As far as testing, have you compared voltages of the battery when Spyder is running and not running? It should send about 14 volts to the battery when running. After that and with Spyder not...

Best technique for taking corners fast on the spyder?

I've done track days with my Spyder, not sure more sticky tires are a good idea. I have almost rolled it several times on stock fronts. My handlebars are reduced in width so I can use more body ballast, I am halfway off the machine and low as possible with just tips of my fingers and toes...

spyders running bad when it's hot out

    Tucson Spyders

I took the Buell up to Alpine over the weekend and did some laps up and down 191/180, nice and cool up there, very sceninc and ALOT of fun. I have been up there on the Spyder, too...saw a few Rs/Gs and RT's rolling around up there this weekend. Cabins/hotels and grub everywhere to stay the...
