• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Well, I have a price

Yes, for $6000 difference I'd make the long distant deal too. I will say though with my 2017 there seemed to be more room for wheeling and dealing from various dealers than for the 2020/2021 the past years. I think there are supply chain issues starting to brew that's affecting not only Can-Am...

    Well, I have a price

I sometimes wonder if I would have bought my Spyders if I didn't have a local dealer. I probably would have been more inclined to go HD or Honda. On a sidebar, I'm curious as to why you don't have to take your Spyder in for a BRP software update. Is there an at-home solution for doing so?

    Well, I have a price

My point wasn't that it's not worth trying to save $2000 with the previous year, but that's they're hard to find as inventory of both 2020 and 2021 are much more limited compared to previous years. My 2017 was purchased in 2018 as a leftover at a local dealer with $3000 off. I was happy to save...

    Well, I have a price

Not sure why people go long distances from their local dealer just to save a few hundred dollars...as I usually find such "projects" costing me more in the long run. Not knocking those that do, I'm just not mentally built for long distant dealership relationships. I just purchased a new 2021...

What's the Best Phone Holder for Lamonster's Spyder Cuff?

Thanks for everybody's input. I decided to go with the Lamonster RT Spyder Cuff with Lamonster Phone Phang Holder. If I don't like the Phang, the TackForm will be my next consideration.

What's the Best Phone Holder for Lamonster's Spyder Cuff?

After three years of no cup holder or phone holder, I don't want to go another summer without the Lamonster Spyder Cuff for my RT. When it comes to the phone holder, which product have people had the best luck as an add-on? Lamonster RT Spyder Cuff with Lamonster Phone Phang Holder Lamonster...

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

Electric vehicles are inevitable and I think the Spyder/Ryker would be the perfect candidate for BRP to start. If done right, total cost of ownership should be a lot less than current offerings due to lower maintenance needs (no $250 dealer oil changes). For BRP, it's success is going to be...

Advice please on 2021 RT options

I agree with your dealer. I'd ride it awhile before doing any modifications or purchase a lot of accessories...if for anything so you can fully appreciate the benefits of the changes made. When I first bought my Spyder, I was concerned I needed an alignment. Come to find out my tires just needed...

Advice please on 2021 RT options

I think all the machines are great machines although personally I prefer the RTL. Your thread seems to be you have all eyes on the RT line and only considered the F3 line because others recommended it. With prices similar for what you're considering, I'd go with your gut of what would satisfy...

Upgrade tension belt roller and bracket

I had head this too. Does anyone know if this is only for Sea and Sky or all late 2021 RTs?

    Fuel price still rising

Moving away from politics and back to reality...gas prices almost ALWAYS goes up this time of year. The extreme cold in February probably didn't help due to both oil heating usage and refinery slow downs. A lot of this has to do with refineries switching to a Summer-Blend production. Here is an...

Differences between '20 and '21 RT?

    Rear tire air valve

Thanks for asking this question. Every time I have to get on my knees to fill air in that rear tire...I wonder...am I doing this right? It shouldn't be that difficult.

put on the new kenda kannie

I wish I had known about this with the OEMs. I bet I could have gotten at least a 1000 to 2000 extra miles if I had kept them at 26 lbs instead of 28-29 lbs.

When Replacing Rear Tire Best To Replace Front Tires?

I thought I'd just give a quick update. After everyone's advice (thank you) I decided to only replace my rear tire as I figured my front tires could last another 8000 to 9000 miles. However, for a couple weeks around the Labor Day weekend my dealer offered a free install as long as you replaced...

When Replacing Rear Tire Best To Replace Front Tires?

Mike, you mentioned that any place that does rear tires can mount/balance them. How about the rear tires? Can most tire places do the rear tire?

When Replacing Rear Tire Best To Replace Front Tires?

Nearing 10,000 miles on the rear tire, I'm in need to replace the rear tire for the FIRST time on my 2017 Spyder RT. I suspect I could get another 4,000 miles on the front tires. Despite having the Spyder a couple years, I have some newbie questions when it comes to tires: 1) If I only replace...
