• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it possible to Remove the tail trunk & passenger back rest from 2023 RTL?

If somebody put them on it, then somebody else can take them off. What the manual says is likely because if you take them off, there is nothing to prevent slipping off the back end. If you are worried about that, you could always build a low sissy bar to bolt on there. A sissy bar that sticks...

Does using a cat delete help with seat heat?

If it looks like this you may need a cat delete. Sorry, couldn't stop myself from posting that.

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

Yeah, lotta myths and I know about water injection of aircraft engines. The problem is when the water is in your gas tank and the water is heavier than the gas. It does not mix with the gas and all the water ends up on the bottom of the tank close to where the fuel pickup tube is. The engine...

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

I usually use the Sta-Bill but sometimes get the Lucas. Any of it helps and the fuel is good for about a year of storage without a problem. When it starts getting close to a year I burn the stored fuel through the mower and get fresh fuel. For gasoline you are storing long term, it would be...

Did something change? Now need a magnifying glass to read this Font size, even on extra large font - what am I missing?

That is most likely your browser doing it. It may have been set for larger type size and an update or something made it go back to default size. There should be either 3 vertical dot or maybe 3 lines, possible just the word "Settings" someplace on the top of your browser. Most are on the top...

That is not air tanks, it was fuel tanks for the sawmill I used to have. Got too old and crippled up to ramp logs and throw green 2x10s around, so I sold the mill. Washed the tanks out and use them to put diesel in when I have a big job going with the tractor now. I sold the glass, skinny water...

Anyone who would like to have a digital copy of the book that was discussed here the last couple of days, can get one free. The link is- https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/996 The book is not the original, which is in Spanish, but that one is also available from the same source. The link...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

Did you have the rear tire chocked with the rubber wedge chocks? How could it move? If you need to put a strap around the bottom, flat sides of the wedges and ratchet them together more. You can actually ratchet the rear tire clear of the floor and it be supported by the rubber wedges. It can't...

I agree there should be a standard, but then they couldn't force you to buy a whole new power tool every 5 years by changing the battery type. Mine are all a standard type and never need recharging. Every hand power tool I have has a 115V cord on it. If I have to go work somewhere there is no...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

I don't put the jacks there. I put them under the A-arms. I also wrap strips of leather on the tubes to help prevent scratches and slipping. If you put them under the cross brace, you have to let them down evenly, which is hard to do for one person. Mine has a lot more room to work... it is an...

My thoughts on the new "4 Wheeled Ryker"

Wait and see, where there is smoke, there could be a fire, but these days with the AI gone wild, it might just be a picture of a fire.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I flipped a table saw over to see why it quit running, flipped between the Spyder and the big roll up door. It left a huge pile of sawdust scattered on the floor that I gotta go back out and clean up before the Spyder can back out of the shop, because the sawdust may have some dropped screws or...

Pretty sure I meet the person who originally posted this thread many years ago at the Southern Cruisers Annual Rally in Mexico Beach, Florida. Some of the chapters in Georgia used to ride down and join the Florida Chapters there. There would be about 400 attending every year riding most any...
