• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

an unobtainable pipe dream for raising my RT

Maybe the 2020 looks different underneath, but on my 2012 I don't have to bolt the rear suspention to the BigBlue. The bottom of the suspention rests in a V shaped metall piece. The only thing getting secured before lifting is the right side footrest. To check if the V shaped piece is lined up...

an unobtainable pipe dream for raising my RT

Had to check out this gravel road!

Two friends of mine are riding two wheelers and last time we met they talked about this nice dirtroad they explored. One of them also made a video he shared and today I had to go check it out for myself. They will be surpirced I did it on my Spyder, they tend to underestimate(spellcheck) the...

Need input/ideas on how/where to put a Go Pro Mount?

I have borrowed a set up from a friend and tested it on my RT. https://rammount.com/collections/gopro/products/ram-b-166-gop1u Will reccomend to have a secure line as an extra safety in case the vacum should slip. When I tried it, it was put on the frunk and held suction for the whole ride. (4...

Clunks shifting into Reverse fm Neutral on S2S - I don't like it!

I get those clunks on my RTS also, but they vary in "loudness". Sometimes it shifts real smooth, but that is more seldom than the normal clunks. I have learned to ignore it and just ride without concern due to all the people here saying it is normal for the Spyders.

Answered the Question about Belt Life on My Spyder!

Hi Pegasus and thank you sir. Good thing about us retired people is that we have no time limits, so take your time and set your own pace. I did my own temporary alignment on the belt but took the Spyder to the dealer for a proper tension adjust. Highly recommended as I got rid of some vibration...

Imported RS to Europe - any advice on getting CoC?

Hope it all works out for you without having to spend too much money so that you can enjoy your Spyder.

Answered the Question about Belt Life on My Spyder!

Hi Pegasus. I just changed the belt on my RT, and it was rather nice and simple. Loosen the rear wheel and turn the adjusters enough to give the belt some slack. Or detach the arm for the air suspension leveling and as you jack up the Spyder, the rear wheel will drop and at the same time give...

Answered the Question about Belt Life on My Spyder!

Just changed the belt on mine, it lasted me 54 k km (33k miles). I noticed it when out riding with a friend and at first, I thought it was low on oil and gearbox slipping. Checked the oil and it was fine, then rolled the Spyder while inspecting the belt and there it was, six inches of teeth...

2020 RT Ltd Cruise Control doesn't work - intermittently - any hints?

The few times I can not get the CC to engage, it turns out my revs are to low, so after a downshift it engages as normal. Going too slow on high gear will disable the CC it seems like. Hope you figure out what cause yours to fail !

Any reason a forklift can't be used to lift up a Spyder for service?

I totally agree, that is why I lifted in the front suspention arms and through the rearwheel rim. That will have same effect as if the Spyder stood on a pallet.

Any reason a forklift can't be used to lift up a Spyder for service?

That is the only picture from that set up, sorry ! In front I put slings around the lower arms on the front suspention. In the rear end I put a sling through the rearwheel rim and had both end going up to a spreader bar that was hooked in the crane to prevent squeeze on the rear plastic parts...

Any reason a forklift can't be used to lift up a Spyder for service?

Hi and welcome to the forum Northernsledder. Lifting the Spyder with a forklift is doable of course, but it has to be done safely and within the forklift's limits. Are you just planning to get it off the ground so you can get under there and change oil and filters? I would never feel safe...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took out the halogen bulbs in my running lights (low beam) and put the new led bulbs in  Wayyy better light on these dark roads over here. High beams are so far very good, so I will wait a while with those.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode my 2012 RTS to my dealer and they did a valve check and put new gaskets on the valve covers. I also had them do a belt adjust and alignment after I put a new belt put on and had no way of figuring out the tension myself. Got some led bulbs too. Spyder felt great on the way home and...
