• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any F3 owners with Shad Bags added Taillights? Need details?

I added lights to my Shad saddlebags a couple of years ago. I bought them from admorelighting.com, and also the red reflectors (available from Shadusa, and others). When I added the rear shelf, I also added a light.

Bright Headlights Daytime Yes or No

I usually drive with high beams in the day. Recently, a bus and a gravel truck flashed their lights at me - mission accomplished, I was seen!

Givi side case with no key, just a code - how to get one made?

I misplaced one key for my Shad saddlebags. I tried a local locksmith with no success. I contacted Shad with the cylinder/key number, and discovered that they don’t sell individual keys. I ended up with a kit of 3 lock cylinders, one for each of the saddlebags, and a spare, should I add the...

What Budget Comms Systems are available/do you like?

I have Sena Spyder RT1 comms. They are about 2 years old, and battery is weak. I asked Sena about a replacement battery, and they indicated none were available. The idea is to replace the comms if the battery fails. I can't buy the comms attachment separately, so end up with duplicate speakers...

Storage options - are there any Spyder Tank Bags?

Hello: I bought this Hopnel Tux Tie for my Spyder F3 https://www.amazon.ca/Hopnel-H40-304BKC-Tux-Tie-Pack/dp/B078229S26. This is an Amazon Canada link, but you can get the product number from it. There are other online dealers. I have yet to install it, but I believe it is the same product...

Found Helmets cheaper in Germany; delivered to Arizona in 3 days!

I priced a Schuberth C5, plus the SC2 comms, on FC Moto, and the delivered price was about $80 more than local price, and that did not account for any duties or taxes. Another online retailer, MotardInn was over $100 more than local, excluding taxes and duties. I have bought from MotardInn...

Looking at Running/Fog Lights - Which do you recommend? Which LED & Fog Light kit?

I told my dermatologist that folks in the Pacific northwest don’t tan in the winter, they rust. That raised a chuckle!

Looks like the 2024 F3L gets 5 position heated grips?

I notice that BRP now has the 2024 owners manuals for on road product. As I have an F3, I wanted to check out the features of the 2024 model https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/public/tmp/219002367.Spyder.F3.Series.WEB.pdf I did notice that the heated grips on the F3L appear to have a 5 heat...

Trading Ryker in for F3 Spyder - Which model, year, and accessories do you recommend?

If riding interstates or major highways, the F3 base does not come standard with cruise control, but can be added. I do some touring with my F3 base, and added Shad saddlebags and a rear rack for luggage.

What Kind of Rider are you?

We live in the mildest place in Canada in the winter. We ride pretty much year round. I added heated gloves last year, and this year, a heated jacket liner.

Anyone with '20+ Spyders tried Front Fender Lighting fm ShowChrome & TricLED?

I have TricLED sequential signals on my F3. A few led's were burned out and one was flickering on my left fender. I reached out to TricLED, and they sent me a new set for the cost of postage ($40 US to Canada). They were past the warranty period. I have yet to replace them.

Anyone using Lucas semi synthenic oil?

I changed oil in my Spyder a couple of of months ago with the same oil, and no apparent issues. I looked at the specs, and it met the criteria.
