• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The unfilled segment -on/off road spyder

No, I want it to look cool and have some ground clearance and 3 wheel drive. I can't see how it would be as expensive as a UTV to produce.

The unfilled segment -on/off road spyder

The street scene is swamped with all sorts of variations of trikes. I know several want a leaning trike but lets leave that alone for this discussion. The side-by-side market is rapidly growing with some heavy hitters that are well established and competing for market dominance. Many...

Any tips for taming the 'Dragon'?

Anyone who's ridden both care to compare the tail of the dragon to bear tooth?

    Sale: akrapovic muffler

Is there a performance gain to be had with these mufflers? I'm struggling to justify why it's even worth $550:dontknow: I bought a muffler constructed entirely of titanium for my snowmobile and it was only $529

    Circle Lake Superior Tour

We actually want to take this trip solo on the bike together. Sorry if I led anyone on. I'd be game to meet up just not looking for traveling companions. I'm digging for all advice out there though. Lewiston looks like a great area but we'll be coming up through Minnesota and beginning the...

Awesome!!! Let it get closer to "go time" so we know we're going for sure, for sure. :2thumbs:

    Circle Lake Superior Tour

Bumping this thread up. I think we're going to do this in mid June. I got 9 days to play with. Don't like sitting on the beach and hate heat and can't stand cities so I think this is our adventure. We're going to drive over the Mackinaw bridge as part of the deal too. We'll definitely...

Is this what inspired the F3?

That bike in the video is so much cooler than an f3!

So... I got an F3 as a loaner - Not for me

It's entertaining to me that you can't even say the RSS-S is better than the F3 in the RS/GS section of the forum. You're either 1)wrong OR 2) Just don't appreciate the F3's strengths.

    ST-S se-5 right driver floorboard

I've bottomed out my bike and it typically trips the floorboard too. There's a spring loaded latch so it'll just snap back in place as Billy's video demonstrates

    Travel [Over]Planning

When we went to Yellowstone NP, we found a place to stay in the town when we arrived. West Yellowstone was the most challenging but we always found a place and it was at times entertaining finding a place and negotiating a rate. Overall we had a blast with very little structure.

    "Nice Snowmobile buddy"!

I have also only ridden a spyder for bike experience. I think I've gotten around 10,000 miles racked up. I have lots of experience with snowmobiles and very specifically arctic cat snowmobiles. I would recommend either getting a Z1 turbo in model years 2010 or 2011 OR a procross 9000...

Is there any interaction between the stereo system and GPS?

I was placing an amazon order the other day so I did order one of these to see how it works and it has very good sound when hooked up to my home stereo and the bluetooth had more than enough range to work on the spyder. It will charge and play at the same time so you can leave it plugged in...

    "Nice Snowmobile buddy"!

Even though this is an old post. I'll bite. I'd LOVE to take one of those for a rip. Add a relatively inexpensive computer tune to it and you're at 225 HP on 91 octane pump gas.

Downshifting when approaching a stop sign with the V-Twin 990/998

I honestly wish that I could switch my spyder between fully automatic mode and toggle shift. It'd be nice just to twist the throttle and go without worrying about shifting at all.

    ST Limited questions

I should add... FWIW, I like the appearance of the ST and it has just enough amenities to ride long distances but yet not look like a small car. I'm sure I would like the 1330 motor with more forgiving RPM range and more power. Here's a link to the big trip we took with the ST last year...

Downshifting when approaching a stop sign with the V-Twin 990/998

V-TWIN Motors only please (ALL RS/GS models, ST models and pre-1330 RT's). What is the proper method for downshifting with the SE transmission when approaching a stop sign on the highway? Are you guys actively clicking through the gears on the way back down using the motor to help slow you and...

    ST Limited questions

The ST has the 998 v twin whereas the rt has the 3 cylinder 1330 motor beginning in either 2014 or 2015. The 1330 motor is better but the 998 is still good. No known changes that I'm aware of on the ST between 2014 & 2015
