• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How well do Spyders Tour and handle long high speed trips?

Long trip, speed and loaded I rode my Spyder to Alaska and back this summer. That was over 11,250 miles round trip. I was more comfortable than on my Yamaha Venture 1300cc trike. I did 1025 miles the first day at 70-80 mph. I had a tent and sleeping bag on the passenger seat and a T-Bag on the...

    Check your rear fender

I was riding yesterday and a friend noticed my rear fender was loose. Three of the four mounting points for the rear fender had cracked and failed. So check the rear fender mounting. First photo shows the upper right was the only mounting hole holding, and it was cracked. Second photos shows...

    Check-In for a Spyder count

Alaska ride was great. The Spyder made it safer riding on the construction and the Dalton Highway with the gravel. The traction control got a work out in the slippery mud. I want to go back to Alaska again, but I would probably go in May-June when there is less chance of rain.

    Check-In for a Spyder count

Holding up fine I have had to change the rear tire after 14,500 miles. I have a clutch sensor error message but it still runs fine. Had the 6,000 miles inspection done in Alaska and the valves were right on spec. The technicans say that the check engine errors and codes should not stop you from...

    Simple Math, miles per hour

19365 miles / 364.6 hours = 53.1 mph A lot of the miles were on the Alaskan Highway. Had to slow down with the rain and the rear tire hydroplaning. :doorag:

    Rock through drive belt

I had a rock embedded in the belt while traveling in Alaska. It dimpled the outside of the belt but had not gone all the way through the belt. The CAN-AM dealer in Fairbanks worked the stone back out with a pair of channel-locks and a flat washer over the teeth. There were no visible broken...

What Colors would you like your Spyder Web Luggage Rack ??

Black would be fine with me. Would the luggage rack work with the Thibault-GIVI side case mounting bracket since it has a mounting screw that goes in to the original tail piece and a cross member? :doorag:

    New saddle bags

The stock V35 GIVI bags are available in matte black, gloss black (N902), satin silver (A900) and gloss silver (G730). Has anybody had a chance to see if the gloss silver matches the Can_Am Spyder Full Moon? My local GIVI dealer did not have any color samples or product in stock. I am thinking...

    Front fender tip lights

I installed amber 194NA lamps on my silver Spyder. I like the look and the original white light was in my field of vision so at night it looked like a headlight behind me reflecting in the side mirror. Now I know if the source is a fender running light or in my mirror. :doorag:

Givi rack and cases fitted down under

:doorag: Good photos and write up. Does anyone know of a US Can-Am dealer that has the mounting kit available? I am going to Alaska in July and would rather not tow a trailer from Iowa to Alaska and back. Are there any other GIVI mounting kits in development or available?
