• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I unplug the parking brake module - need micro switch part#

Hey Tom. If by "handle" you mean that little arm, with the little roller on it, that pushes down on the switch button - then here's your part number: 710001379 It's the same micro switch that is used for the brake pressure switch, So that's why it will be called brake pressure switch in the...

Need service - Code C1282 - anyone know an independent mech in Louisiana?

One last word on the topic..."Speed Bleeders". And as long as you’re already crawling around on the floor, you should at least LOOK at the pads while you’re down there. You can see them from the side of the calipers, front and back, without having to remove them. 1mm is the spec. This might...

Need service - Code C1282 - anyone know an independent mech in Louisiana?

Hey Bob. Yeah, that whole issue is nonsense. They turn their backs on customers AND revenue. Moving forward. When a vehicle gives you a warning screen and a code, it is telling you that something hurts. Despite all of the tricks, voodoo, and what used to work back in the 70's that you hear, the...

Any videos on 2013 RT SE5 clutch replacement? Special tool availability?

A friend of yours has asked you to replace the clutch in his 2013 SE5 Spyder RT. Why? Are you sure? A new clutch design for the SE5 was introduced for the 2013 year, that is pretty bullet proof. You must be looking for this tool...

2024 RT Ltd ticking noise - dealer can't hear it! Any ideas?

Welcome 59 Ford owner. Yes, there should be a gap between the belt and the inside flange of the rear sprocket. However, check for that only after driving forward, in a straight line, under engine power for 40 to 50 feet. Alignment changes when in reverse, and when spinning the wheel by hand with...

Any Advice/instr on Reinstalling RT Ltd Rear Fender Extension?

Did you remove the rear panel? Because I can see that it would be quite the b##ch to clip those 4 clips with the panel on and the rear tire in the way. Plus, don't forget the two plastic screws on each side attaching it to the panel. Are there any broken off pieces from the old one interfering...

Outside Air Temperature Sensor reads high - Why? Any fixes?

And that’s why we talk about it so much, I guess. Not to use it in a manner for which it wasn’t designed. So new owners understand that warning about the possibility of ice is not its primary purpose. Engine management is. It’s about location of the sensor, not accuracy.

Outside Air Temperature Sensor reads high - Why? Any fixes?

Here’s a science project for you. Place a thermometer that you know is accurate, in the garage by your Spyder. Let them both sit there overnight. The next morning, just turn on the key and compare temperatures. See…. It’s accurate. It’s there for EFI Management. Its location reflects where the...

Fuel rail pressure gauge connector. Anyone know the fitting type?

Hey Bert. Looking at the 2014 shop manual diagram, yours is the exact same as mine. - Fuel pump output from the tank > Fuel filter > Y fitting as the return to the tank > to fuel rail. This is a semi-return system. The fuel rail on the 1330 is dead ended. There is an inlet, but no outlet. The...

Fuel rail pressure gauge connector. Anyone know the fitting type?

You don't connect the gauge to the fuel rail. In the 1330 fuel system, the fuel pressure regulator is integrated into the fuel pump module in the fuel tank. You disconnect the pressure hose at the top of the tank, and put in a T connector adapter. Been that way since 2014. You would benefit from...

Battery light on after flooding - any ideas??

2016 F3, right? From your manual, it’s either low battery voltage or high battery voltage. Measure it. Bet it’s low. Not good news. Salt Water in the alternator is the first theory that comes to mind, or you got over zealous with the rinsing. Corrosion in something. Connectors are usually water...

Are these the correct Battery Replacements? What about charging NOCO?

As you compare lithium to AGM batteries of the same relative physical size, you’ll see this consistently. The lithium battery will have a higher CCA, but the AGM battery will have a higher AH rating. A battery is an energy storage device. The AH rating reflects the amount of electrical energy...

Anyone know how to do Idle adjustments on a 2024 Spider X200?

Unfortunately, this forum is not for that kind of Spider. This is for the Can Am Spyder/Ryker. I believe you have a Massimo machine. I would speculate, that if the problem happened suddenly, it’s not just an adjustment problem, anyway. Perhaps a fueling issue. And if that motor is electronic...

P0351 error and Check Engine Light on - any help/advice?

No, you have the first version of DESS. Replacing an ECM doesn't affect your ignition key programming. (the change to the newer version was made in 2014) There may be other initialization steps, however, that require BUDS when an ECM is replaced, such as for the Throttle Position Sensor. (But...

Ok. So it's kinda like this. About the time that the 1330 was making the scene, I began to notice that the Fault Code list in the shop manuals were more and more incomplete. BRP expects techs to use BUDS for all this stuff. So, you go into BUDS/BUDS2 and call up a Demo File and look at all of...

Actually, when I look up the codes in BUDS that he doesn’t have in his manual, it is pointing to many modules, not just the TCM. that’s why I think that the U0073 code is the key. Appears that the entire CANBUS fails for some reason. So, good luck with it.

Your U0073 code pretty much indicates a total and general CANBUS failure, while your other U codes are indicating the loss of comms to the various other modules. Pretty much all of them. Which should be expected, right? I would question the validity of any P code, and not worry about chasing...

Left turn signals don't go on - 2018 F3 Ltd! Any ideas/solution thoughts?

Yeah, whenever some function operated by the Left Hand Multi-function switch, is malfunctioning on a 2018, I think of this issue here in this Warranty Bulletin: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10144016-9999.pdf It does not mention whether or not this problem is limited to just North...

Just had my 1st service done - they used 4T 0W40 synthetic oil - anyone else?

No new oil for the Spyder in a 0W-40 weight. They used Skidoo oil. The pic of the Spyder is grayed out, indicating not to use it in the Spyder. The Spyder oil is 5W-40, and there is a Full Synthetic formula for the Spyder now, but it is still 5W-40. Again, they put the wrong oil in your Spyder...

Parking Brake Light Will Not Turn Off - but Parking Brake works! Any ideas?

So, spent 2 hours on the lawn mower thinking about this. Crazy. Read through it all again twice. You seem to have a good handle on the circuit, and although you didn’t mention it, appear to have a shop manual. But, just in case you don’t...
