• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New to the forum - 2022 F3T

A couple of years ago, we stumbled across the Needles Highway. For some reason, had never heard of it before. Old age, I guess. Can only say "OMG". You are so blessed. Be safe out there. Watch out for all the critters.

Parking Brake Light Will Not Turn Off - but Parking Brake works! Any ideas?

Well, it's a little disappointing that your machine isn't "cooperating" with us, and that it isn't giving us more information. As long as your floats look something like this pic, then the fluid level is adequate. When we call up codes without BUDS, using the buttons, it will only display codes...

Parking Brake Light Will Not Turn Off - but Parking Brake works! Any ideas?

On that era of Spyder, low brake fluid level also feeds into the parking brake light. The light will still be on solid, even with the parking brake released. The meaning of the light now becomes brake failure instead of parking brake engaged. With your design of brake fluid reservoir, the fluid...

What's going on here - Fault codes P212F and P2131?

Hmmmm. These two codes indicate a failure of the position signal coming from the Throttle Position Sensor, or TPS. Not to be confused with the Throttle Acceleration Sensor, or TAS - which is sometimes impacted by the installation of those pedal box things. The TPS is a dual potentiometer on the...

F3T died rapidly after sitting 2 months, now no start - any suggestions?

+1 what Mikey said. With the right kind of weather, it doesn’t take too long at all, for ethanol fuel to absorb enough moisture to be un-runnable. Before you go too crazy with tearing into it, drain and refill first. Not too long ago, somebody else had this same problem. Fresh fuel and a bit of...

Anyone else getting Bluetooth Fault Detected msg after ACP Upgrade?

Well, if this happened immediately after you did the update, and you’re not trying to pair anything, sure seems like the update got corrupted. The dealer should be able to reflash the update with BUDS2 at the shop. If they don’t know how, that’s why they have direct help from BRP. You might need...

Any thoughts on this Handlebar vibration/shake?

Yeah. Spyder hand massage. I gave up trying to balance the Kenda tires on the 2012. On this one, just went straight to here…. https://www.lamonstergarage.com/centramatic-wheel-balancers-front-set-of-two-lamonster-approved/ Smooth as silk and they can be used over and over again.

Anyone seen this Spyder & Canyon Temporary Belt before?

Oh, once it gets available, I suspect that it would be similar to the HD temporary belt. It has splicing fixtures to attach the two ends together. You wouldn’t use it unless your main belt completely breaks. https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson.com/sip/service/document/1616

Is there more than one 'Missing Belt Guard'? Which is best? Are they worth fitting?

Spyderpops does international shipping if that's what you're asking. Otherwise, I'm not familiar with another vendor in Canada. But there might be one. Or, if you have the skills, you can make your own. I ran the Spyderpops belt guard for about 10 years on my 2012. The thing is, it's one of...

Urk... Frunk won't unlatch... Is this a common problem?

And… if you happen to need access to the frunk after you have the machine started and running, you don’t need to shutdown. Push the key down first from the ON position, and rotate fully CCW. Then let it return to ON before you release it. Motor stays running. Enjoy the ride.

Any videos on Removing '24 RT frunk to hardwire the battery?

Still not following you friend. You cannot remove the plastic liner to get to the battery???? This thread shows pics of the inside of the frunk and battery access on a 2024 RT. Looks the same as mine and all others. The liner just un-zips. Maybe you could post pics of just what it is you need to...

Any videos on Removing '24 RT frunk to hardwire the battery?

So, the battery access cover is not big enough? (It's behind the cloth liner, if you have one). I don’t think that you can remove just the back wall of the frunk tub itself; or lift out just the tub and leave the rest of the nose module on. But, for almost all stuff on your 2024, a 2023 service...

Urk... Frunk won't unlatch... Is this a common problem?

Just to double check because you’ve only had it only 3 days - push the ignition key straight down, hold it down and then turn it counter-clockwise. And if the pin in the frunk is a bit misaligned, the lid won’t pop up on its own. While holding the key CCW, gently lift up on the lid. See if any...

Scheduled the 3000 mile service on my 2024 RTL

It's a good price. Heck, the retail price of the XPS oil change kit alone, for the 1330, is 147 bucks for the full synthetic formula. And you might want to remind them of the full synthetic formula and ask them to use that, instead of the synthetic blend. It’s relatively new. The credit that you...

Anyone else seen an 08 GS Clutch Release Cover oil leak like this?

That is the hydraulic piston cover. All SE5's are the same in this regard. There is no gasket or O-ring associated with it. It's pretty much just a dust cover. However, the last time we came across this, the oil leak was actually from the banjo fitting on the bottom side and not from the cover...

Well I got a Limp Home Mode today - 12 Error Codes!

Most of those codes are specific to comms between the VCM and the rest of the machine. Although, there is a Cluster one in there. You may want to refer to your Owner's Guide and check the fuses, also, including the larger square ones, as well as just battery terminal tightness, if you haven't...

Replaced Tires, got Codes C006C, U0416, & C003A plus Limp Home Mode - Help?

Well, for the record, those plastic covers, the short one and the long one, are just held down with a flat head torx screw. They’re black and dirty and hard to see. The long one has a screw on each end. The cover then just lifts off. But the harness connector for the sensor is past the long...

Replaced Tires, got Codes C006C, U0416, & C003A plus Limp Home Mode - Help?

Based on your codes, it is a failure of the rear speed sensor. Rear speed sensor failure, vehicle speed implausible, VCM error. Nothing to do with your tires (you went 40 miles ok), nor whatever this 3rd gear 3500 thing is. Have you looked at it? See if it came loose and follow the wire harness...

Any ideas on Sporadic parking brake alarm?

Hi Brent. The alarm stopping after 20 seconds is by design. Sometimes you DO want to turn off the key with the brake not engaged. Your problem is most likely the sticky micro switch. Pull off the right side panels. You’ll see the front pulley for the parking brake cable. If you turn on the key...
