• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DESS - what does it do exactly

I saw a couple of posts about DESS and did some searching to see exactly what it is and does. Is it a security control on the Spyder that links the key with starter? I saw a few posts of people saying a failure causes the bike to be disabled. Is this common? I see people who disabled DESS...

I want to pass out huge Thank You's to Blueknight and Wmoater for their recommendations of Vrendstein tires and KLIM rain gear. I was caught in a brutal downpour in Delaware on Tuesday evening, it was concerning the amount of rain that fell in a short amount of time. The tires recommended by...

    Palindromes; anyone else track them?

I do it all the time - look for number sequences, patterns, consecutive number runs, etc.

Anyone running or tried BUDS on MacBook (Pro)?

Just as a warning - if you have a newer MAC with an M1/M2 chip Windows will not run as a guest operating system - parallels/vm fusion. I am not surer about dual-boat, but I would expect it will not work. Older MAC used an Intel chip - the M series use AMD, different instruction set. Jim

I have the utmost confidence in these guys, they fixed a couple of things another dealer could not. The first replacement was last year prior to the announced recall - several weeks before (red dust and ready to fail). It was replaced with the old faulty model - for yearly service since this...

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

Do you need to buy a license for a CAN-AM Spyder? I watched the video and saw that mentioned. Can you flash and unflash as many times as you want? Thanks, Jim

    Looking for hand guard options

At one point I was looking at Hippo Hands and wrote to them asking what guard I need for the product. I sent them my make and model and they told me exactly what I needed. This would make sure everything worked together. Jim

Wet weather tire and gear report

I have quadratic vredestein tires and klim forecaster gear (jacket and pants) and i had the chance to use them several times the past few days. I plan on riding unless there is thunder and lightning. I am amazed at how well the tires perform on wet roads and in the rain. The tires have very...

Any advice on how difficult Side mirror removal/repl is on 2017 F3-Ltd?

I am thinking of getting A-arm lights that connect to the blinker system - they A-arm install looks easy, my hesitation comes from removal of the side mirrors to connect the electric to the blinkers. Any advice or thoughts on the removal AND attachment back of the mirrors. Thanks in advance. Jim

First time out in the rain on my Quatrac's

Hi Peter and Others: Recently had a rear Quadratic installed on the rear after doing the fronts late last summer. There was a remarkable improvement on handling when I did the fronts, but the OEM rear still allowed me to dirt track sometimes around very sharp corners. Once the rear Quadratic...

What works for Brightening/Shining Chrome Wheels?

I have a 2017 F3 Limited - I noticed the Chrome on the wheels seems to have lost some of its luster. Is there anything I can do to restore the shine back to wheels? I used Merlins Blood in the past to clean them - would that also help to brighten them? Thanks in advance. Jim
