• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    What are these things?

If you've ever seen the famous Navy Precision Jet Demonstration Team, "The Blue Angels" perform, they have a Hercules C-130 cargo plane nicknamed "Fat Albert" that travels with them. They have installed a JATO system on the sides of the fuselage, and part of their flight demonstration has the...

Did you keep your bike stock ??

Still, that's a pretty high number. I was expecting it to be less than 10%.

Did you keep your bike stock ??

You'd be surprised. At the latest poll results 8 Nov 2022 at 0938 HRS P.S.T., 1 out of 5 leave their bikes alone.

Did you keep your bike stock ??

    Yes. Yes, you can. LOL

Did you keep your bike stock ??

I believe that those who keep their bike stock think that they can have a higher resale value if they leave their bike "unmolested". While that may be true, I still don't get it, LOL.

Did you keep your bike stock ??

You'd be surprised just how many Spyder/Ryker owners keep their bike stock. I'm also a member of the Spyderlovers FB page, and there are A LOT who refuse to mod their bike, for whatever reason. Trust me, I don't get it either ....

Did you keep your bike stock ??

Wow, that's a lot. Any addition of a turbo or even a Hayabusa engine swap ?? :D :D

Did you keep your bike stock ??

Not including adding minor mods like cup holders or phone holders, did you keep your bike the same as it rolled out of the factory ?? Nope, not me. - https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?129103-Peacekeeper6-Mod-Thread&highlight=mod

Tires.... discussing tread types & patterns.

I know the tread patterns of both Continental DWS 06 and Michelin Cross Climate when I see them. The other tire, I have no clue. Very informative and educational post, BR.

    A Message for the Moderators

Come on, man. Grow some thicker skin !! There are some brilliant minds in here that know EVERYTHING about the Can Am Spyder. They offer solutions to difficult problems, educate those who don't know jack about a certain subject, and at the same time, tell some humorous and interesting stories...

    Wisecracks about Spyder

It really depends on HOW they say their negative statement. Sometimes, they tend to be just joking around. If they ARE just joking around, I'd probably reply with, "Well, one day, when you're barely strong enough to hold a two-wheeler at a stop sign with a passenger on board, you will see the...

This can be the TIME of your LIFE!

I believe it'll be an "experience of a lifetime", no doubt about that. I absolutely LOVE Europe, so much rich history as compared to the United States.

The Truth about LED bulbs - Don't Buy LED Bulbs Before Watching This!

A trick that Lew L showed me is once you remove a panel, place ALL the attaching hardware in a small, plastic Ziploc bag and tape it on that particular panel. Then you won't have any excuse of leaving ANYTHING left over, LOL.

    Extended Warranty Purchasing Advice Needed

It definitely is a crap shoot. But IMHO, $671 is a small price to pay for peace of mind. That said, I second the Thomas Palmer from iMotorsport suggestion. It's quick and painless, "easy peasy lemon squeasy".

Is the General Altimax RT45 Directional or Non Directional?

I would definitely run a directional tire in the rear. My next rear tire would probably be like the Michelin Cross Climate 2, if they make the correct size (haven't researched it yet), only because I've read great reviews about them. Pricey, like most Michelin offerings, but you get what you...

Difficulty with fixed push pins on bottom of top side panel of 2014 RTL - any ideas?

Like most body panels, it's easier to take them off than it is to put them back in. My trick to reinstall that particular panel is to (1) lube the pin first, and then (2) slightly flex the panel inward while you push the bottom of the panel in first. Good luck !!

    Riders Etiquette, "The Salute"

No, not really. Only because I give them a certain amount of time and distance, which is not a lot. I don't stare at them from the time I see them to the time they pass me, if that's you're inferring. But to each their own ....

    Wisecracks about Spyder

I've been lucky that all of the encounters I've had with people asking about our RTL have been very positive. If someone DOES say something negative, I would reply with, "I also have a Harley with 2 wheels, if that's okay with you".
