• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need parts list for BRP saddle bags

Looks great! :2thumbs: I've got the hard bags also, but i didn't shell out for any inserts. Now that I see how good yours look with the inserts, I guess that's next! I really like how portable these bags are. Coming across country, I left one one the bike with stuff I wouldn't need, took...

Reluctantly let my 2 wheeler go

Yep, sold my VTX this Spring, after not having ridden it much since buying the Spyder -- Then my Spyder engine blew and I sure wish I had the VTX back. But I probably would have sold it again once I get Spyder back next week. In the meantime, looking at cheaper alternatives for a...

    Hot Day's Ride

Spydergirl, When it gets real hot like that, try a plain white long-sleeve shirt, cut a bit large. I wear one over a T sometimes and it really cuts the heat. I'd never ride without coverage -- look like a lobster in no time! Actually, I rode all the way back I 40/Rt 66 from tulsa on I don't...

Hi there! Newby intro and question

Welcome to the Board! I don't think the Kewlmetal cupholder attachment for their console will work on the stock console.

    Fancy Spyder Rims?

I've got the stock rims up in my attic -- I'm sure they've got some cool spider webs on them by now, if you're interested!:D

    Engine blown...

I'm sticking with the dealer at this point. I believe they are trying to get my Spyder back on the road as quickly as possible -- which is via a new engine. They do the entire Can-Am line and BRP watercraft as well as other boats, and this is their peak season. Just sent a nice e-mail to...

    Along Came A Spyder Options

I'd go with B. A and C have feathers. Ain't no feathers on a Spyder!

    Engine blown...

Update: I'm caught between BRP, who wants the dealer to do a rebuild, and my dealer, who doesn't want to do a rebuild and who wants BRP to send me a new engine. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/smilies/gaah.gif I've e-mailed and called Spyder support. Next is a letter, then the local...

Just got off the phone with Carlo

So what is Carlos' phone number? I've got a dead Spyder at the moment and may have to call to light more of a fire under the dealer. Appreciate it!

    Ok on a positive note:

YE, even given my current blown engine at 21000+ miles. She took me across the USA and back in fine style with never a hiccup. I expect the YE to be valid for a while, but reserve the right to whine later if my engine doesn't get fixed....

Has anyone corrected their Speedo error? Any easy fix?

I just figure it keeps me from getting tickets. My VTX was 10% over at all speeds, but the Spyder seems to be only about 5% over. So that means if the speed limit is 65 and I'm going 75 ( per speedo) I'm actually closer to 72 and therefore relatively safe from a speeding ticket - at least out...

    Engine blown...

Thanks for all the wishes and support. I'll keep you all posted on how this develops. I'll be checking in with the dealer Monday 8/17 to find out the status. I've been really happy with the Spyder up to the moment the engine blew. I'm looking forward to a quick resolution. A little worried...
