• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bikers for Boxers Benefit Ride - June 6th (Northern California)

Sounds like fun, Spydergirl, but I should be in Denver by then on the US 50 ride... Here's hoping for a great turnout for your ride!

KURYAKYN & Passenger Peg Test Fit

NMN hasn't updated the site with them yet -- they were down at Daytona and just had the parts ready before then. I expect to see them listed on the site by the end of the month. Also check out the post from Lamonster today with BRP's passenger pegs...

KURYAKYN & Passenger Peg Test Fit

I believe it was the 8808 that i tried this solution with -- no deal. The Kury mounts are totally loose. I'm waiting a few days to check out NMN's new passenger peg adapters -- then your solution may work since I believe you'll be able to use the Kury drop with them. I'll have to cost out...

    TWO-UP Riding ?

I second SloRyder's answer. Actually, we test-rode a GW trike the day before buying our Spyder. The Wing was like driving a LazyBoy down the street, and my wife loved the comfort. But the next day, got on the Spyder and it was a blast! This is really riding! Wife would like armrests to go...

    Really Disappointed

I had my new key cut by a locksmith. No problem at all, then took it back to dealer to get the chip working. took me all of 20 minutes from when I picked up the blank key.... Don't know where you are, Sara, but you're welcome to visit Sacramento !

    Seeking Helmet Hedset Recommendations

I second both Zackbilly's and SpyderJim's replies. I have the Scala teamset and it works fine, although limited to rider/passenger communication, which we have found that we do not really need ( see SpyderJim's reply)... Scala connects via Bluetooth to my GPS. The new Audio link for it will...

    Touring Model???

There are plenty of highway pegs set-ups out there -- Kewlmetal for one -- which let you stretch out on a long ride. No Magic Neon is just coming out with some pegs that will allow you to sue other off-the-shelf pegs. You can do a search on the posts here to see some of the things others have...

    spyder exhaust

Watch out for the Two Bros CF single. Mine blew out after a few thousand miles, although Shawn's here at Sac Power is still good with over 6000. When I contacted Two Bros, they no longer make the CF single -- only the dual. They repacked mine into an aluminum can and I sold it. Just saying...

ok, so I was thinking again .

I have the Garmin 550 and an HJC Symax modular helmet with Cardo Teamset. There is no problem at all with mounting the Cardo, which is the same mounting system for both Teamset and Q2, to the HJC. I was using earbuds wired to get tunes from the Garmin -- there is ajack on the garmin and I...

    Light Changer

Out here, I've only run into a few that Spydie won't trip. Most of the time, the road crews have marked the lines for me so I just be sure the bulk is directly over a line -- then it will trip the light. Have had to call the county on a few lights they forgot to mark the trip lines..

    GPS

Cincy, There's a plug on the left side of the Zumo for hardwiring a pair of earbuds or what-not. If you just want both you and passenger to be able to hear, then go to Radio Shack and pick up a splitter, then plug both sets of headsets/earplugs into the splitter. I don't know about intercom...

    Another NMN Prototype

Sorry, but if I remove the grab rails, my wife will fall off on the first turn..... :yikes:

    GPS

CincySpider -- right, XM doesn't work with Bluetooth. I don't think the version of Bluetooth on the 550 supports stereo. I've signed up for XM but will only use it wired. Was going to try it out yesterday but the wife decided she wanted to ride... Agree with Lamonster -- no way I'm going to...

    GPS

I have mine installed on Kewlmetal GPS attachment. I've only used it a few times, but I like it and will use it often this summer. I haven't signed up for the XM yet, but that is next. Got the antenna mounted somewhere under the cowling... I have a Scala Rider Bluetooth teamset that I have...

    please advise

Their shop is locked up and the building owners haven't heard from Ryan in a while. I'm surprised that their web site is still up. I've sent information to some other members on how to possibly locate a mailing address for Ryan via the Sacramento county web site, saccounty.net. According to...
