• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP: U-Haul Enclosed 6’x12’ - Anyone tried one? Any tips or tricks?

After years of dealing with similar situations, here's the best tip & trick I can offer you. Buy an Aluma trailer with a folding ramp and be done with it. That trailer can be used for many other things besides safely hauling your spyder. And, you'll discover you have many more friends than you...

What do you do for K&N Air Filter Cleaning? Use the Kit, or is there an easier/cheaper way?

Soap and water, then let it dry thoroughly and spray lightly with oil. You can speed up the drying by installing the filter and allowing the spyder to run for a minute or so, then oil it, and you're done. https://www.google.com/search?then...

Where should I invest first to improve stability - shocks or a stabilizer bar

Do both, get your alignment checked, and relax your grip. Good luck.

My MPG skyrocketed in ECO Mode - is ECO Mode really that much better?

Now that's experience talking! Also, DON'T fuel up at these new stations that have the high velocity pumps. Use the older mom & pop stations with the older style pumps, where you can dribble in the gas and get an absolutely FULL tank. I add one gallon after the auto shut off. You can stuff...

Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions on Rear brake pads replacing without taking off the tire on a 2012 RS-S?

I remove the muffler and some of the brake fluid from the reservoir first. Mine is a 14 RT.

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

I'm not surprised at all by why and how BRP chooses to install faulty items on their products. I'd place the blame on company bean counters rather than the techs and engineers. JMHO

Spyders are New to me, and the hitch prices have a huge variation - which way should I go? Recommend any hitches?

The BRP OEM hitch seems to be the most robust and the least likely to fail. As far as vibration goes, yep, there's a lot of it. I don't recall the name of it, but there is a trailer tongue adapter that uses a shock absorber to lessen the severity of the transfer of the hitch vibration to the...

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

"Some change just the end links for safety. They will give you a slight improvement in handling. Some notice it, others don't. To get the full effect of improved handling, a complete sway bar kit is necessary." Few folks will notice any difference between metal and plastic endlinks until a...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

At this point, who cares if you pi$$ off the dealer? "9 times", and Graderman is still stuck with a non operable Spyder after spending what we know is a lot of money, and for what, something he can't use or depend on. What a horrible sinking feeling over what is supposed to be an enjoyable...

Friend looking into Spyders, either a 2016 RT or a 2019 RTL with pretty close mileage & price - any advice/comments/concerns?

Buying used is certainly a crap shoot. I'm wondering why a 19 would be similarly priced to a 16, unless the 16 is overpriced? Or someone is trying to dump the 19?

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

Put your spyder on a trailer with a large cardboard cutout of a lemon strapped to it and park it across the street from the dealership. A gentleman in my town had a similar issue and received immediate attention by using that tactic. After a couple of days, he was given a new car in exchange for...

Brake squeak at low speed - any quick fixes?

It could be dust buildup. Try a high speed (40 MPH) hard braking a couple of times, or pressure washing them might help. Good luck.

Speedometer accuracy - when I set my Cruise to a certain speed, the speedo doesn't match - any others??

Look at it this way. If you are going further and faster according to the speedometer, you're getting more and better MPG. Whoopee!

Clock Setting screen no longer works, any help appreciated!?

Why bother yourself with a clock that wasn't accurate? After all, isn't that the purpose of a clock, to be precise? I have a clock on my wrist and in my cellphone that are precise, so I have no need for a BRP clock that refuses to be accurate. Just one more shortcoming in the long list of BRP's...

A Canyon on steroids? Is this the sort of off-road Spyder BRP should have built?

There's no such animal as a crossover machine. IE a dirt and street. If you tried to follow die hard dirt riders, you'd be lucky to get out of the parking lot. Then, if you tried following freeway cruisers, you'd be beaten to death within 5 miles. Two totally different environments that require...

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

Absolutely! Something that doesn't cross most people's minds. NEVER fuel up at a station while a tanker truck is dropping a load of fuel.
