• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I suspect there's a slight safety advantage over a bike, though a bike's maneuverability may help to avoid some strikes in the first place.

Do you think there's an F3 update coming for 2026?

They call my 2015 CanAm Red. Looks more like orange to me.

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

I usually use my 2-post automotive lift to work under the Spyder. However, for a quick job I find a low-profile floor jack can be rolled under the central frame from the left rear, positioning the rubber pad under the center frame at the front. I then lift the front and if necessary, put...

    Random thought for the day

I have some stuff from Hitachi, Ryobi, and others, but lately I've been buying Hercules from Harbor freight. So far, the quality seems very good, the batteries are all compatible, and the prices are decent.

Has anyone removed/modified the Airbox on an F3 to improve intake airflow? Ideas?

Thanks, Just thinking of the small filter area, as well as making servicing much easier in the future. I'll probably install a K&N filter at the least, and I may see if I can fabricate a duct to direct fresh air from outside the bodywork to the inlet. I does seem to suffer from a bit of heat...

Has anyone removed/modified the Airbox on an F3 to improve intake airflow? Ideas?

I did a search, but didn't see anything similar. Has anyone removed the huge airbox on the F3S and installed a duct and conical filter to increase filter area and get cooler air into the throttle body? I notice my IAT often runs 10 degrees hotter than ambient air, and getting that huge bulky...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

What does a F2P module do that you can't already do with the dimmer switch?

Do I need to pull the whole box to properly fit this Airbox tube?

Looks like there's enough access to pop the grommet back into place. A dull screwdriver or putty knife may help.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

I think it was around 2020 that they dropped the manual, hence, I'll never have a newer Spyder than that. None of my "recreational" vehicles are automatics, except for my motor-coach, which for some reason is actually called an RV. It just gets the real RV's to the track.🤣

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Agreed. The Spyder isn't a threat to even a small sportbike. 🤣

Some of us still have a proper clutch and shifter. ;)

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

I don't think I'd have a problem keeping up with any Spyder on a sportbike. LOL

Two hot brake questions: EBC sintered pads whoosh noise, and either rotor or bearing noise.

Drilled/slotted discs often have a characteristic sound, usually a whirring or humming under light braking. I even hear it on my cars that are so equipped. Try this. Ride a couple miles without using the brakes, and stop with very minimal braking. Then check the brake disc temp with an IR temp...
