• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a power port for my GPS. I don't like the look of the big ones you mount in the dash below the bars so I hid mine under the left side cover. I was just going to put the power supply for my gps but I figured if I mounted av 12V receptacle I could plug anything in.

Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

It's no so much the sound (I'm not an audiophile by any stretch LOL) it's blocking the windnoise so I can hear the music that I'm after. I was contemplating a higher windshield but I've heard people say there's a chance of breaking the mounts and as a second, I don't really like the look of a...

Just wanted to share the unbridled joy and ease of riding the Spyder!

I personally don't give a rats behind what others think about the Spyder, I like it is all that matters I bought it because I wasn't as stable on two wheels as I once was and didn't feel safe when stopping on uneven surfaces. Worrying about picking up 1000lbs of bike makes you a bit timid LOL.

Thanks djh3, I just ordered a pair, I'll report back when they arrive on how they work.

2023 RT Cruise control needs to turn past set point to accelerate - is this right?

That's how I do mine but find if you don't give it a bit of throttle, it'll slow down too abruptly. I also find that it feels like it decelerates slightly as I'm rotating the throttle to get it up to the current speed to disengage cruise.

Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

I've tried a few different types of ear buds and haven't found a set yet that blocks out enough windnoise to allow me to hear. I've tried multiple helmets as well with no luck. Having small ear holes isn't a great thing neither, fat head with small earholes is not a good combo LOL. I like the...

2023 RT Cruise control needs to turn past set point to accelerate - is this right?

Same as mine, I find it annoying but I'll survive :-).

RT Rear Trunk looks likely to wear where I press it to close it - is there anything to stop that?

I was concerned about that on mine as well as the side panels where my legs rub. I had those areas covered with clear paint protection film. I initially was just going to put a small piece on the frunk cover where your finger would push but the guy doing it wouldn't do just a small area, said it...

    Wrapped my 2021 RT Limited

I just had clear PPF applied to the side panels where my legs rub and the frunk cover for rocks and marks from my finger from closing the frunk, CAN $400. Fella did an awesome job, can't even tell it's been done.

Rotella T6 on sale In Canada next week at Can Tire in the 18.9L pail!

US$26.43 is CAN$36.57 a US gallon which is 3.78L. At that rate, 5USG (18.9L pail) = US$132 or in Canuk bucks CAN$183. The US$ price for the Can Tire oil (not counting the mail in rebate) which I agree is a pia is US$24.40 a USG so it's still a bit cheaper. As for buying bulk, once I open the...

Rotella T6 on sale In Canada next week at Can Tire in the 18.9L pail!

Any Canuks who use Rotella T6 15W-40, it's on sale next week at Can Tire in the 18.9L pail for CAN$170 and there's an additional $40 off via a prepaid Mastercard so that brings the price down to CAN$33 for a 4.7L oil change. That's 4 changes in a bucket. Even if you don't want to bother with the...

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

I wouldn't be using a cover but one thing I would do is put a long mudflap behind the rear axle to prevent rock damage.

The Auto Downshift is irritating for changes to 2nd & 1st - can anything be done to block those down-shifts?

Good video. Ryan's an awesome presenter, good information with a bit of humor. Here's one he did regarding leather gear . Have a gander at his other videos also.

What can you tell me about this unit on my Rear shock?

Awesome guys, thanks for the info.

What can you tell me about this unit on my Rear shock?

What can anyone tell me about this unit, I'm assuming it's rear shock preload (I don't think it's that, as the collar would do that); spring rate; rebound rate? There appears to be two adjustments possible according to the embossed lettering around the nut and screw head, low speed and high...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Had paint protection film applied on the frunk cover for rock and finger damage from closing, and on both left and right side covers where I was nervous of my leg eventually wearing the paint. Haven't picked it up yet, hoping it looks alright. **edit** Just picked it up, they did an amazing job...

What windshield bug cleaner do you use?

I use Turtle Wax ice and a microfiber cloth. Cleans the bugs off and leaves a slippery surface that makes future removal easier. Same on my helmet visor as well.

Parking Brake not working after storage - could this be a low battery? Anyone else?

Most definitely. That scenario is called severe use in the owners manual and requires more frequent oil changes.

Parking Brake not working after storage - could this be a low battery? Anyone else?

Just my thoughts for what it's worth. Starting it 'occasionally' is probably doing more harm than good as far as the battery goes and possibly other areas as well. I can't give you any numbers, but I'd guess that you're draining more out of the battery than is being replenished every time you...

What do you think is the Best Full Cover For Travel? How big is the storage pouch?

Just received my UG full cover yesterday; the box measures 10" x 14" x 4". Mind you, you'd probably never get it repacked into that size short of compressing it by driving over it with a semi, :-) I may get close to it tho... maybe.
