• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for new front tires - anyone tried 155/60/15?

Yokohama AVID 175/55R15 And they will likely be the last set of fronts you will need on the bike..... Mine just clicked over 75,000 miles and still look good. Will get replaced at 8yrs but will not be worn out.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

Under FTC rules, if BRP officially updates the required maintenance schedule to add removal and lubrication of the sprocket, they would be on the hook for the cost of doing it. The maintenance schedule is part of the conditions of sale. BRP will not change the maintenance schedule for sold...

    Are '21/'22 F3/F3-S's pre-wired for Fog lights?

Yes. The lights and switch just plug in to the harness already in place.

DESS disable during our travels this year

A number of folks have expressed desire to have DESS disabled but are not near a dealer or shop willing and capable of doing the task. As in years past, I will have my BUDS system with me during our annual bike trip and willing to meet up with other Spyder owners that wish to have this done...

Phone Call Issues on 2022 Spyder RT - any ideas?

The basic problem is BRP Connect is broken. The Spyder infotainment system is defective and BRP refuses to give up and buy software from Google and Apple like every other OEM. The sooner you give up using it, the sooner you will dispense with the frustration from trying to use a defective...

    Purchase red Master Key?

Without a working key, the master key would do you no good anyway. Cannot program keys without a working one. The bike will have to have the ignition and DESS modules replaced which come with new working keys. Have it towed to a dealer that is willing to do the work as it requires BUDS to...

Doesn't DESS work well as a security device?

Spyders get stolen. DESS has nothing to do with it. As a security system its next to worthless as it has a loop hole big enough to drive a city bus through. You do not need a valid key to disable DESS using BUDS. IE flat bed a Spyder to your shop. Disable DESS using readily available...

TricLed Sequential LED Turn Signals & Running Lights - Anyone else having issues??

No. Turn signal wiring is just above on the mirror or signal. Brake would need to wire to the back and having STOP lights on the front fender would look kinda odd.

Front Sprocket Recall - Interim Repair Completed

It WILL need to be removed as part of the recall in the fall. BRP will not cover the additional costs of broken shafts from removal of incorrectly installed sprockets.

Front Sprocket Recall - Interim Repair Completed

They do not remove the sprocket or moly lube the shaft as part of the interim inspection. Only if a sprocket must be replaced do they remove it.

TricLed Sequential LED Turn Signals & Running Lights - Anyone else having issues??

This is why we had to drop TricLED as a vendor. Constant rework due to crap quality LEDs and wiring. Just could not afford to keep doing work over and over on customers bikes. And Tric began declining to cover products under warranty. We simply do not have these problems with LEDs from...

How many miles do you have on a recall pulley/sprocket?

Have had several in my shop. Far more F3 to be sure but it happens on RT as well.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

That is only page 1 of 6. Looking for the other 5 pages.

How many miles do you have on a recall pulley/sprocket?

Here is an interesting data point for the group. My 2015 original engine failed at 32k miles and was replaced with a May 2019 production date engine (2019 model year). Yet my bike is still included in the recall to get the new sprocket when it becomes available. The current engine now has 40k...

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

Don't bother looking. ALL 2018 Spyders are included.

Installing Trailer hitch - avoiding obstruction in axle housing?

You will need to purchase an axle shaft for a 15 thru 21 F3. The 22s are coming like yours without the hollow axle. It's due to a parts supply issue for BRP that was preventing bikes from being built. Or you can swap yours with someone that has no need for a trailer.

What is MotoBatt 12V AGM Battery like for my F3?

Not a fan of the made in China Motobatt. Have seen too many fail in short term on our customers bikes. Stick with a made in USA Yuasa or if you do want to persue and upgrade, move up to the Odyssey which is also made in USA and built for a bit more longevity.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....
