• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oop's! Look out BRP, Honda has a new 3-wheeler coming out!

About 30 years ago I converted a 2 wheel Harley Sportster into a full custom 3 wheel trike. It was licensed as a two wheel motorcycle before I converted it. The county tag agency just wanted to see it before they would sell me a plate and the plate they sold me was a motorcycle plate. I just...

He finds his own food. A game camera took the picture. If he saw me out there he would fly for half a mile before he hit the ground again. There is seed heads on a lot of the grass around the fence. That is probably what he is after.

Oop's! Look out BRP, Honda has a new 3-wheeler coming out!

Dune Buggies can be licensed for highway use in Florida. For what one of the factory specials would cost, I could build a nice VW powered dune buggy and get it registered here. Probably build a turbo Porsche powered one for what the 4 wheel wing cost. Even if it has a straddle seat and...

Anyone know what these things on the front wheels are?

Maybe has a grease fitting under it? Used to have hubs that kept the water out by pumping the space full of spring loaded grease. They were mainly for boat trailers truck and Jeep wheels. Never heard of one for a Spyder, but it is possible. Look under it and see.

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

Yes, you could get 2 Spyders for the price, but the T-Rex is currently powered by the engine and transmission of 1441 cc Kawasaki in line 4 that is putting out 208 HP, and that red lines at 11,000 revs - to a 6 speed manual, You should take a change of underwear for your first ride on that...

Looking for a Spyder Key Sheath or alternative?

Drill a hole in it. Video from Lamonster Garage shows you where to drill to miss the sending chip. Drilling a Can Am Key I have had Ford keys harden. The plastic covers harden and start to decompose. Then one day you will stick the key in the truck door to unlock it, and the whole top of the...

Broke the front splitter when backing the F3 off the trailer. What's the Best replacement solution?

That is true, and the plastics have to be prepared for the JB Weld to adhere to them. They need to be cleaned, de-greased, and the surfaces roughed up. The regular 2 part JB Weld slow cure epoxy seems to be the strongest bond.

Broke the front splitter when backing the F3 off the trailer. What's the Best replacement solution?

You can put any of that hard plastic back together with JB Weld. If you are careful and try to do a neat job, you can sand it down and paint it too. I broke the air wing on my front suspension in half, and put it back together with JB Weld. Can't even see where it was broke without getting down...

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

Any Sportster that required leaded fuel would not have over about a 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. If you don't believe high compression ratio places a drag on the starter, then I have nothing more to say on the subject. I just find it amazing that all normal motorcycles, like the 2 stroke dirt...

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

How many of your normal motorcycles was running a 12.2 to 1 compression ratio from the factory?

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

Define "Normal Motorcycle"?? And with only 4 MM difference, the Ace 1330 is so close to being a square engine that the difference hardly matters.
