• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

15A power for portable air compressor - how to get on 2014RTL

both of the units I have - 1 is a "SLIME" inflator about 6x6x2 (est) hand held unit. 1 is a "TALON" inflator slightly smaller in size. The Slime unit requires 15A power. The Talon unit requires 10A power. Before I realized THAT fuse requirement, I went thru a few 5A fuses in position 7 of the...

15A power for portable air compressor - how to get on 2014RTL

Pete, thanks to you and others for comments. I probably acted a little more "novice" with my discussion than needed.:banghead: :yikes: As I see it for me, I want 12AWG wire (fused inline (positive side - for 15A) and terminating in the female end of any length cord. Agree it needs quality...

15A power for portable air compressor - how to get on 2014RTL

So...........if, On that website, I get the one with the female "cigarette lighter" end on it, any of my tire inflators and any other things with the male end of that type cord should function OK. Correct? For my inflators, making sure I install it with a 15A fuse of course.

15A power for portable air compressor - how to get on 2014RTL

Are there battery post taps available under the seat as mentioned in some "old" posts I was reading? Not sure that applied to 2014RTL. I need 15A for tire inflator power. I carry one of those little portable car starters with me too, and that may be easier than trying to install a "clean" 15A...

Just my experience to date with Q5 rear tire

Thought some might find this interesting. Spyder is 2014 RTL. Always riding 2 up (at higher end of limits :roflblack:) Tire pressure for Q5 is 16/17 range. Replaced original with New Kenda rear at 12,111 miles, 3/32" tread total left...

    Compressor

I agree completely with using the fill port under the seat. It's real easy and unless you have other problems it's amazing how few times you have to add air after that. Been doing it since the second failure of our 2014 system - years ago - and haven't had an issue since. We are riding 2 up. I...

How should I Wash my Spyder - 2020 RT?

My experience is "most" of the "spray and shine" type products work as you say. Done regularly, it is easy and the Spyder is ALWAYS shining:yes::shemademe_smilie:

Why don't techs like car tires?

A while ago now, I asked my servicing dealer if, after I bought it and brought it to him, would he install the Q5 on the rear of our 2014 RTL during it's next annual service? His response with no hesitation was "yes". I even volunteered to pay the difference to compensate for loss of the tire...

Update on (MY) Verdestein QUATRAC5 tire wear Yours may vary

Tire mileage update for Verdestein Quadtrac 5 on 2014 RTL As some will note, I have periodically posted the mileage and tread depth readings on my Quadtrac5 tires. This is just and update to those posts. Note new tires are 10/32s Front tires are 175/55/R15 running 15/16 PSI. Tread depth...

    Spark Plug Change

At the risk of jinxing myself.... or being placed in a category of no-nothing owners,:yikes: here is my current experience on our 2014 1330 RTL. 42000 miles just now and had latest "annual" oil change performed, had coolant changed (prompted by "very expensive - $2700 experience" last month...

    Questions about Spyderlover User Map

I (like some others ) have given up on the map. I still haven't seen any posts on people actually being able to "add" their location marker and have it stay. Probably just me..................

Sounds too good to be right - gas usage/range

Our 2014 RTL Spyder has been getting consistently 40+ MPG on regular gas since 2020. Was getting in the mid 30s on High test.

Too start with......I'm not color blind

Good question Peter. I am wondering if for some reason, any added water over the year would remain at the top of the fluid system and not mix ? Doesn't seem right to me. The fluid level in the tank does "appear" to be above the hot mark by maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch. This was after our 200 mile...
