• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka shocks for 2013 fit 2014

Shocks I believe they will because the 13 RT's shifted to the new frame design. But they didn't put the 1330 engine in. They stayed with the 998 which caused all kinds of heat issues.

    Fuel guage

Disable the gauges What you are seeing is normal for that year fuel gauge. Best thing to do is remove the 4 small screws that hold the plastic piece the temp and fuel gauge are mounted to. Disconnect the wiring to both gauges, tuck the wiring back into the hole and reinstall the plastic. The...

    Push to Talk Button

It's tied into the CANBUS which is how the computer talk to each other. Unless you have the CB it doesn't do anything. I believe many have tried to tap into it but have not succeeded yet.

BRP Trailer harness from RT to F3T?

Yes it should work with one exception. You need to find a 12vdc source for pin H. Pin H on the RT CIC2 female connector comes from the Right hand Fuse Box F4 (10A). Same Fuse on the F# is for the Accessory plugs on the F3. From the service manual CIC2 is located under the rear top piece of...

    Battery Drain Opinions

Screws If the screws are not tight you are not passing 100% of the voltage/current to the battery. Screws loose while riding are moving ever so slightly. I got stuck at a gas station after a fill up. Tightened the screws and it started right up. Now I add a drop of locktite to the screws to...

    Battery Drain Opinions

Battery terminals Check and make sure the battery terminal screws are tight. On some RT's I have seen the screws loosen up as they don't use a lock washer.

has anyone tried adding speakers to their RT saddlebags?

I read and comprehended her post and responded to the fact that she is wanting to do the same thing to her RT. The RT rear side case closure design is not the same as the Victory design. The RT closes over the the rear side case leaving no room between the top of the lid and the inside of the...

has anyone tried adding speakers to their RT saddlebags?

If you look at the way the cover closes the is no room to add a speaker without cutting into the top of the inside compartment. Then there is the latch assembly to consider.

    Parking brake issue

Not sure you were given correct info about the transfer to digital gauges. To get the digital gauges to display on the screen you have to disconnect both analog gauges. You do not connect any wires to the analog gauge plugs, doing so my cause more harm than good. Just leave the plugs...

    Parking brake issue

Parking light will not go out if the front pulley doesn't rotate to the unlock position. If you got the brake to release you can drive it but carry a couple of short 2x4 to chock the wheels when you park it. Does the windshield go up and down? if so the fuse is good and you have a electrical...
