• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let me just say I'm not happy either

Thank you Thanks for all that you do Lamont. I came over to the :spyder:because I have medical issues which prevent me from continuing to ride a 2 wheeled vehicle and it turned out to be the best thing I ever did, and just at the right time. Its a great machine. It took a while getting used...

    New to Spyder

Congrats to you, I think the fact that you have not ridden a motorcycle is an advantage at this time. My only advise it to take it easy and relax. I have been a mo-cycle rider since the early 60's and for me it took a while as I had to forget a lot of things 'drilled into me' for riding bikes...

Looks like I'll get my RT back on the 29th

Glad to see that you are getting the RT back and look forward to your continuing comments, its great to have an independent review on the product prior to the full release. I am kinda on the fence at this time (my spouse is looking for more comfort in the back seat and pegs which I believe...

    BUELL closing ???

Another sad day in the American Motorcycle industry, but some have seen this coming for a long time. I am just in the process of doing an oil change on my Spyder and my Buell Millenium X1 and although I have not ridden the Buell for a long while now I have the Spyder, it still has a special...

2 Spyders down for about a month.

My spouse and I were discussing getting a RT next year but waiting so long for parts that should be instanly available is not acceptable in my mind. I think now I will cancel any more thoughts on another BRP product due to its lack of back up to the owners of its products. I had major...

    Spyder is back, healthy

Nice to hear a good result I know how disappointed you must have been, when I first picked my :spyder:and ran it out of gas after 63 miles, lucky for me I was within 100 yards from a gas station and clutch in and a slight push for the last few yards got me to the pump. Upon starting it I got...

How do you measure Windshield size?

I have a stock 2008 PE Spyder mine came with a sports touring windshield, which according to the book measures 10". I can't find anywhere on the shield that measures 10". When I measure from the bottom of the cut out to the top of the shield I get 10 1/2" so I am guessing this must be...

Unforturtunaley I have been laid up, and have been unble to ride a lot of late, this latest batch of chemo really is the pits, so its still not done however I ordered the oil filter, oil, crush washers and am ready to complete the oil change, the oil change is simple and in the hour or so a day...

    Bushtec trailer question

Great Instructions I have trailed my Bushtec for a few thousand miles and the above instructions are as good as it gets and are easy to follow. There really is no real pressure guide due to how much weight you put in it and I can tell you we have filled it up big time. Just load up the...

    Recall decision

Great new steering now after update After I had the update done I thought the Spyder did not run as well and I was disapointed and kinda wished I had never taken it in, however, and its a big however, after a tankful of gas it appears to be back as before except the steering is sooooo much...

6,000 mile valve check or Trailor Hitch?

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and comments, I guess I will make a decision soon about which way to go. I am very disapointed about the performance of the Spyder since having the update/recall as it ran a lot better before I took it in and my steering was fine anyway, I wish I had been advised...

6,000 mile valve check or Trailor Hitch?

I am getting near to my 6,000 mile mark, and according to the service charts this service includes a Valve Check which is kinda expensive, I am told about $500 for this part of the service. Unfortunatley this year have been sidelined with a medical problem and along with that comes huge bills...

Pics of BRP Comfort Seat with Utopia Back Rest

I have the same issue this does look nice however. I am trying to wean my spouse of the Ultra rear seat and armrest, when I was riding with my own backrest it kept her in there 'snug' and she has even gone to sleep on occasions and I did not worry, however the Spyder is very different and more...

New temp gauge with bar readings

Thanks as always for your comments, this makes me feel much better as I was recently concerned about running at 5 bars and its nice to know what the actual temp is. I guess I should have gone ahead and put in a 'real' guage like yours (it's a great clean set up), as come to think of it all my...
