• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    SE5 not shifting

Why two gorund wires...? I have installed a home-made ground wire from the coils to the oil radiator mount bolt. Do I really need to install the second one to the grounding lug on the frame? My 2009 SE5 so far (+/- 450 miles) hasn't stuck in any gear, but when started in the mornings, and...

    New BRP Fan

Hey Baja: What about a fan for the oil radiator? Any room behind it to make it feasible? Will it really improve overall cooling? Just my 2 cents... :D Saludos from an Argie in Venezuela

My final Theory on Driveability issues after the recall (a little technical , sorry)

Need more info Hey Dragon: I also have a brand new Hindle equipped SE5 with less than 450 miles on it. I bought it in the USA but moved abroad and had to ship it. No dealership here, so I am on my own. I extended the evap can vent hose up to the rear axle to get away from the fumes, but I...

    Official BRP Coil Pack fix

Why two ground wires...? I did my home-made coil fix yesterday, only from the coil mount bolt to the oil radiator mount bolt (G1). Rode my SE5 today and it seems to shift a little better now, and no sticking in reverse or 1st, although it might be somewhat early to declare the fix a success...

    Canisterectomy

Hey Latemarch, I got the same nasty gas odor. I am trying to fix or replace my gas cap (it cannot be tightened enough, as it starts ratcheting without completely sealing the opening), and may be I'll also remove the canister. Please let us know if your fumes problem has been solved, and how...

SE5 shifting problem - new flavor

Installed ground wire, but not without a sweat... Lamonster: Today I decided to install the ground wire to get rid of the shifting issue which is starting to act up on me. Reverse gets stuck once in a while, then an 'E' shows up in the dispaly, and my new SE5 has less than 200 miles under its...

    Hindle exhaust and gas smell

My brand new SE5 has a Hindle exhaust installed by the dealer. A few days after I bought it I had to relocate abroad, and had it shipped. No BRP dealership in this country, so I am on my own. I am now riding it for the first few miles in traffic, but have not yet been able to open it up on...

    Carrying Crutches

Cool crutches...!!! Thanks to both of you bjt and Star Cruiser, you have been way helpful and amiable. I think I have a couple of friends here in 'cool' Maracaibo (ave. temp. 95-100°F) that may go to Florida on vacation, so I'll ask them for a favor. I have the classic 'triangle' type...

    Carrying Crutches

Cool crutches...!!! I live abroad and haven't seen that type of crutches before, but I already like them... Not only they are collapsable, thus easy to carry on trips and also on the Spyder, but I also like the idea of the arm-pit 'loop' support, to ease the pressure on the wrists (mine are...

    Parking Brake

I am a left AKA and have just bought an SE5. For the parking brake I sometimes use my left hand (holding the left handlebar with the right hand), and some other times push the parking brake pedal down with the tip of my elbow-wrist crutch. By the way..., anybody out there has ever come up...
