• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Camping in the Smokies in Sept.

As for the national campground, I believe Cosby would be the closest to both Lamont and the group activities in G'burg. It also has a great backdoor entrance which eliminates a lot of the traffic entering Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. I had forgotten about this option, Deb, when I PM'd you...

    Female Spyder Riders Only!!!!

I wear a sweat band under my helmet which helps with keeping my bangs from getting so flat and it also absorbs any sweat when riding in hot weather. Even a bandana folded like a headband works for me. I have short hair versus your long, so as far as the rest of my hair my idea wouldn't work...

Dudley and Jennifer's 10,000 Mile Journey Blog

Got to meet Dudley and Jennifer just a couple of hours ago as they traveled up from Lamont's territory. You two are REALLY traveling light. I thought Jerry and I traveled light to L.A. for the BRP event. Glad to know you are stopping to take time to see different things. Safe travels...

    First day back

Hi, Brian. It's Gayle and Jerry. ;) It was great fun meeting you and Deb and it was amazing that we caught up with you still at the campground. I could have cried when we drove up in our driveway at home on July 5. I was sad it was all over. What an amazing trip! Gayle

    One Day Delay...3 Days and a Wake-up

I already contacted you by e-mail, Dudley, about hooking up. We look forward to meeting you and we'll be happy to sign the banner. You wrote: . . .travel the Louisiana coastline to Kaplan (my hometown, yep I am a pure breed Cajun). . . Our two kids were born in Metairie, Louisiana, and we...

    LA Trip Travel Blog

Husband and I are traveling out - he on his Goldwing, me on my Spyder - from TN to L.A. We are traveling across I-70 through Denver down to Utah. We are going to stop and smell the roses along the way. Figured if we are going to make a haul like this, we want to see some sites. We leave...

    Riding through Rockies

My husband and I will be riding on I-70, staying overnight at a KOA outside of Denver, on our way to L.A. for Red Carpet Event. We'll be passing through June 20. Would it be wise for us to have our heated gear with us? Thanks!

    Receiving GPS Instructions

I have the Zumo 550 and Scala Q2. I don't use the audio as it interferes too much with conversations between H and me. I can easily glance at the screen and see when a turn is coming. The phone coming through the headset is great, so I just set the Zumo to phone only. We have used Mapsource...

    Spyder City Products

I just bought their floorboards and my dealer installed them last week. There is a heat issue on my right foot and Ron was very good at trying to come up with a resolution. I like the floorboards as I plan to use them as more of a highway peg. I am short (5' 1.5") and regular highway pegs for...

Riding boots / Heat issue with SpyderCity floorboard

I love it! :roflblack: I will pass this info along to my engineer of a husband. He is a much better mechanic/designer/repairman than I am with things like this.

Riding boots / Heat issue with SpyderCity floorboard

Thanks for your post. Ron from SpyderCity did just return my call and my husband talked to him as well. Ron said he is going to look at the Spyder at his shop and see if the issue could be remedied. My husband suggested to me (and possibly to Ron) of Ron modifying his floorboard to create...

Do you recall what the warmest outside temps were? Again, just concerned with desert riding temps. Thanks.
