• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dealer Recall Surging Suggestion

I had surging at any constant RPM before the update and idle was rough. Now the idle is smooth and the surging is gone! Instead I now experience the sputter at 3-5K RPM. I am running the o2 modifier and fuel pressure regulator at the same settings as before. I am going to try and install a...

BRP Oil - Summer vs Winter

Thanks to Firefly I have enough oil coming to do my next to oil changes and I saved a bit of $. I figure you can't go wrong when that is what is called for in the manual. Thanks everyone for your input and a special thanks to Firefly for the link.

BRP Oil - Summer vs Winter

I guess I will try and take it back. Still very confused as what to use now. Thinking Mobile1, Amsoil, or Golden Spectro might be good choices. However, they do not make a 5W40........

BRP Oil - Summer vs Winter

The winter bottle says "Full Synthetic". Maybe it is the same 5w-40 they used to sell.

BRP Oil - Summer vs Winter

BRP now has semi-synthetic for the summer and full-synthetic for the winter. I did not see a weight listed on either can which is strange. Even though it is summer I opted for the winter stuff due to it being synthetic. Did I make a mistake? Does anyone know the weight of the oil or know if it...

    ** Front Tires size**

Which brand of tire looks to have the best traction? Seems they last a long time so I'm not worried about the wear factor. Looking to get a set to match a new rear.

    Rear Tire Options

I found this tire and it looks like it could be a good option for the Spyder! http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?pc=38497&counter=1&ar=45&rd=16&sw=false&cs=225

Brainerd Int raceway quartermile drags 2nd trip

I must say that there are many posts on these forums about several manufacturers exhausts for the Spyder coming apart. In fact, I only know of a couple exhausts that have not had complaints. I ride harder than most on these boards and now have 11K miles on my exhaust. The way you ride and/or...

Brainerd Int raceway quartermile drags 2nd trip

You should not be hitting redline in any gear. Power drops off after around 7500RPM. That is where you should be shifting to the next gear!

yosh pipe blew up, NMN help!

I have seen many manufacturers exhausts blow apart on the Spyder. There are only a few the consistently hold up.

Soap and water works OK but nothing cleans a filter like Kerosene! Cleaning with soap and water after helps get rid of the smell.

How to Turn Traction Control Off For Dyno'ing. Anyone?

You need to remove the sensors from all 3 wheels. Tape them outta the way and the nanny will go to sleep.

just installed full race air system and juice box

The top speed is not limited by RPM. Power drops off after 7500RPM and therefore there is not enough power to push the Spyder once the revs climb much past this. I have ran Stock, with exhaust, with race intake/pressure mod/o2 modifer, and with JB. Top speed has been essentially the same...

    New Mods & Impressions

I found the richer you make the idle circuit with either juice box or O2 Modifier the idle becomes smoother. This may be just a bandaid but it works for me.

Need a new set of front tires, what have people tried

Mine started to wear on the insides until I set to slight toe-in. There is now just a slight wear on the outsides of the tires like there should be. It also turns with less pressure on the bars and has less wandering on uneven roads. Seems many are set to toe-out from the factory. With the...

Making the Spyder even more Stable

I second the swaybar as I have one as well. It's not that I think the Spyder does not corner well now. I was just trying to think of ways to improve.

Making the Spyder even more Stable

I was hoping for some constructive criticism or ideas on how this could be implemented. Is it that it would look like training wheels that you don't like? These replies sound a lot like comments I get from Harley folks on the Spyder. I still don't see a reason why it won't work. Maybe it...

Making the Spyder even more Stable

I had an idea for making the Spyder more stable but since I'm not an engineer I thought I would run it by everyone. What if we attached wheels near the rear axle that extended out kinda like training wheels. They could be say 1/2" above the ground. When you dive into a corner the wheels...
