• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Try again, a little help?

How do you guys stow your helmets' when your off the bike. If there is something in the front there isn't much room. I have an RS and I secure it to the passenger handle with lock & wrap extra steel cable around handle. I leave the cable lock wrapped around handle when I'm riding. Pics attached.

GS/RS/S 1/4 mile time slips or 1/4 times?

Anyone have 1/4 mile time slips and/or times? I'm looking to find average 1/4 mile speed of GS/RS/S. I've attached my best times so far & my RS SE5 2012 is all stock. The first pic is solo and the second pic is racing a Triumph Speed Triple; my time is on the right. The third pic is @ the track...

    Alignment guidance/expertise

Thanx Lamont. Your recommended posting answered my questions & provided evidence. Where do you do your alignment work? I'd like to do an early spring road trip & get outta this northern grit snow & schedule & stop by & get an alignment.

    Alignment guidance/expertise

How do I know if I need an alignment on my RS? Are there indicators/evidence that alignment is needed? I'm getting even tire wear on all 3 tires & I don't notice left or right pulling @ any speed. Or is right/left pulling a balance issue rather than alignment? Or is balance & alignment...

    2015 RS, RSS, ST Spyder

I would possibly trade my RS 12 for a RS/S 1330 or another engine if the new machine significantly improved 1/4 mile time & top speed in 1/4 mile. Overall, I have found my RS as a great machine & position comfort & performance for both cross country tours & day trips.

    I can't help myself

Ouch, sounded brutal & good to hear you are back in the saddle. I agree with your "doodling" & it can lead to being stuck in groups of vehicles & hard to get out of these traffic clusters. There are tons of riding styles and perspectives. I prefer to ride light & keep my powder dry & be prepared...

    Spyders Draw the Most Interest!

Hi Rockwall, I was @ Chicago show too. Great show as always & helps me with the winter no riding blues. I noticed you are a member of Northern Illinois Southern Cruisers Riding Club. I checked out the website & it looked cool. Are you active & recommend giving the club a try?

    I can't help myself

Rob, That was my logic as well. I've kept my RS stock & continue to ride miles to see if I need aftermarket items. 24,000 miles later & the only things I have done are the recommended service & maintenance items, new tire, new belt (got a hole in the middle of belt), adjusted shocks to 5 & added...

    Any reviews on 2014 RS?

ssmcclub, Are you getting the color scheme that you have as your signature picture? I switched from 2 wheel to 3 wheel a couple years back; my knee told me it was time. My 2012 RS is the best (quality & performance) machines and one of the best rides that I had through the years.

    I can't help myself

What are the differences between the 2012 RS & 2012 RSS? And are there differences between RS & RSS in 10,11,13,14s? When I went shopping, I found these differences between the 2012 RS & RSS. The RSS had more paint schemes/options & RSS had an upgraded suspension. Other then those 2 items, HP...

    I can't help myself

an interesting perspective that riding hard = riding dangerous & throwing all caution to the wind & little concern for others vs riding hard = following MSF safety rules with a calm, alert, & focused mindset on the road during quick acceleration & shifting weight & leaning into curves &...

So...who let that smelly mutt in?

Houndguy, Check out RS/RSS & the RS/RSS discussion board on this site. Much of the discussion on this site about problem machines relates to RT & at times ST.
