• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Backfiring thru the throttle body

Venezuela Pics I had the good fortune to visit The area of Puerto La Cruz Venezuela a few years ago and fell in love with the country and the staggering number of beautiful women (mostly the women)! This was just after the devastating floods and rock slides that hit near Caracas (I think) . I...

    Spyder Back On The Road

Just got my Spyder back today after I had been experiencing the steering lock-up problem. The Tech. did the updates and re-calibrated the steering. I told him to put some miles on it before giving it back to me so he rode it about 60 miles and then I rode it about another 60 miles home without...

    Spyder DPS Poll

DPS Poll How does a person know if their spyder is actually "fixed" when they get it back from the dealer? Is it fixed if the mechanic (sorry,I meant "Tech.") says it's fixed? Is it fixed if you ride it 50mi. and the problem doesn't recur? How about 500mi.?,5000mi.? The point I'm trying to make...

I appreciate everyone's reply since mine is in the shop now for the steering issue. And Biker your experience sounds just like mine as far as the symptoms go. I too enjoy my Spyder very much and don't want to throw in the towel but it all depends on how successful this attempt to correct the...

I would like to hear from those people that have experienced the steering lock-up problem and have had the problem fixed. How many tries did it take to fix it and how many miles they have ridden since the fix. Also what did the dealer say was the cause of the problem? Thanks

    My turn with steering issues

Lemon Law My Spyder has been in the shop twice lately for the steering problem ( This time for 11 days so far ). Texas does have a LEMON-LAW for motorcycles and this law is divided into two categories that determine how many chances a dealer gets to correct the problem. Since this is a safety...

    NHTSA COMPLAINTS

I filed a report with NHTSA several days ago (Dont know if it's in their data-base yet). Carlo called me 2-22-10 to discuss my problem and arrangements are being made to trailer my Spyder back to Houston for a second time (First time was on my dime). I have to admit that Carlo seems genuinely...

    Ride On

Ride-On If you experience some tire bounce after you put the ride-on in your tires dont be alarmed. It will take a few miles for centrifugal force to coat the tires and smooth out the ride.

    HELLOOO - NHTSA!!!

My original Dealer was 2mi. from my house BUT; (1) They over inflated the tires when installing new rims (2) Didnt balance the tires (3) Over-torqued the lug nuts (4) Left the oil a quart low when doing the 600mi.service and I had to use a hammer and chisel to remove the drain-plug when I did...
