• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    HELLOOO - NHTSA!!!

HELLOOO_NHTSA Continued When I checked the mileage I noticed that my Spyder had only gone 1/10th of a mile! SOME TEST RIDE!! It was also covered in dust dirt and water spots from being left outside. If I wanted it parked outside I would have torn down my garage!! To make a long story longer,I...

    HELLOOO - NHTSA!!!

Please excuse the long post. On another post I mentioned that I was having the steering lock-up problem that others were having. I also said that I would give the Dealership and BRP one chance to correct the problem before I would report it to NHTSA. I rented a trailer and took my Spyder to a...

Passing it on- Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) Update

Steering Problems I'm taking mine in tomorrow because I'm having the steering problems now after 8500 miles. Like many people I didn't bring it in immediately after the recall notice came out because; (1) Ididnt have a problem at that time (2) It seems like those that took their Spyder's in for...

    Certified Mechanic ??

Good One!! I have several friends that are ASE certified auto mechanics and two that are factory trained motorcycle techs. I would love to see at least ONE factory trained Spyder tech. at each Dealership! If you're going to sell it you should be able to fix it!!!

    sway bar

Sway Bar I have ridden fairly aggressive with the stock sway bar and the Evoluzione. The EVO is definitely better, the only problem is that the stability control will kick in long before you can utilize it to it's full potential. Forget about accelerating hard while you're hanging off in...

First New Dealer Test - Passed

New Dealer Test I totally agree!! If my Dealership mechanic had not been illiterate then MAYBE: (1) He would have put in FOUR QTS. of oil instead of three when I brought the Spyder in for its initial service! Heck even I can read the manual! (2) He would not have inflated the front tires to...

    Certified Mechanic ??

I'm looking for a Certified,Can-Am Trained Spyder mechanic at a Dealership in the Houston area. Does this rare species exist or am I going to be stuck with a glorified parts changer? My spyder is having steering issues like so many others and I don't have the patience nor the time to keep...

    Year Model??

Year Model Looks like I was sold a 2008 model according to the VIN#. Not that big of a deal to me unless the 2009 models arent having the steering issues like my 2008 is. Thanks for the info.

    Year Model??

When I bought my Spyder back in October of 2008 I was told by the Dealer that this was a 2009 model, but when I got my title it was listed as a 2008 year model. Are there actually 2009 year model Spyders or are they just left over 2008's? The Dealer invoice says 2009. Just wondering.

Aerocharger taking pre-orders for Spyder Turbo kit NOW!

Turbo-Kit I've always been a speed freak and thought that too much horsepower is never enough BUT-- Putting a turbo on a vehicle that wont turn is pointless. Even on the Drag Strip you have to turn at the end of the 1/4 mile!!

    Houston Ryders Going to Shiner

No-Go Well it seems that the steering problems have returned (Tried to put me in the ditch) so tomorrow is a no-go for me! Looks like the next few days are going to be spent looking for a trailer to haul this thing to a Dealer in Houston since the local Dealers mechanics are incompetent( Not...
