• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT HAND BRAKE SYSTEM

Sorry to hear about your legs. Do what they say The hand kit is an add on and actually controls the foot lever. Therefore you have to keep the foot system. Mine has bee. On for two years and with the latest adjustable lever, I am very happy. The original lever was further out from the grip and...

Thinking of buying a Spyder can-am, help please...

My 2011 RTSM5 just went over 38,000 and has only had a couple things act up of any importance. I have missed only 2 days in unscheduled Mx and I think that is pretty good. I am fortunate in the fact that my dealer is super in Mx support and very easy to work with. I did buy a 3 year Mx agreement...

    Something strange happening

My 2011 RTSM5 had this several times Tech cleaned the gear indicator sending thingy on the lower left of the trans, but it came on several times and finally went to full orange and the $70 thing was replaced under warranty at 34000 or so miles. Part looked like it should be metal, not plastic...

Great news for my vent swap idea!

Fog light removal and why you might not do that Pretty good idea, but I wouldn't' plan on BRP sending you a check for the lights. i ride a lot at night and there is no way I would remove those fog lights here in the North GA hills, with so many narrow, unlit, deer infested, unmarked roads...

Matte Black hood looks bad in bright sunlight now

Get a wrAp from Pete or local like I did. Give them an idea and you'll have hood protection for many miles The local Fast Signs folks did mine with a Marine CH 53 with a flag background. It doesn't show well in a pic, due to the "ribs" in the hood, but looks super in real life Tuck

    Be Careful Out There !!!!!!

My recent adventures have included two events with deer dashing in front of me at the last minute. One last night and one today. The night one was onThe Spyder going about 45 on GA 140 in a 55 zone. The deer popped out of the right side bushes and missed me by a whisker. This morning I was on...

    Mud Flap

lower mud flap Mine is essentially the same, except I used plastic screws/nuts and an old Georgia license plate on the back to keep it fairly ridgid with a couple reflectors. Works great. The flap itself is from Tractor & Supply like someone mentioned above. Been on 2 years and still looks...

    2012 RT

I got my 2011 RTSM5 Aug20,2011. Almost 36,000 miles of smiles. Few relatively small matters along the way, but never missed or cancelled a ride for any reason. Lots of folks have bad great experiences with their Spyders. The nature of a forum like this is that you normally get all the bad stuff...

NHTSA Recall on 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT & ST models

How much time was needed to react? Well, well. React to what? The heat? The Flames? The pain? I always have a small fire ext in the frunk, and carried one for years on other bikes. If I had a 2013, I'd also might have one in the rear trunk, along with a small fire ax. If you're going to...

    Night Riding

Controls If you have ever been a pilot in the military, you had to pass a blind cockpit check. Put a sandbag, or what ever over your head and have someone make you identify and move every control, switch, major cuircuit beaker, handle, etc. It wasn't easy in the days of analog instruments and...

    Could this be..2014..!!

Yes. I'm just saying here's what might be a relatively cheap, easy solution for many folks. If they make a torque monster, it would surely require more room for the engine itself and then radiator(s) And other accessories and a bunch of added weight. I loved my Gold Wings, an 1100 and an 1800...
