• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Having difficulties properly Filling the gas tank!

I fill the tank on my ‘21 RTL the same way. Its easy to do if the trigger pull on the gas nozzle has a gentle pull. Then I stop filling when I can actually see the gas in the neck of the tank. But if the trigger pull is hard I have to be careful to not fill as full or else its liable to burp...

SE6 downshifting erratic- anyone else? Ideas/fixes?

Just curious.. when are you using the manual downshifting? I might have misinterpreted your first post but to me it sounds like you are using it often. The only time I have had to manually downshift my 21 RTL was either going up or down a VERY steep incline. Otherwise I let the Spyder do its...

    The future is here

Maybe a very dark night, with totally quiet equipment and stealth backup racing in for assistance. They may take out a few of the bad guys on deck but the rest of the crew might get them... sacrificial lambs. Would be bad to take a hit and have holes punched in whatever float device they may be...

Does the Direction of Travel show on the Dash? 2019 F3 Ltd

Just a thought... if you might not be looking at something as sophisticated... they offer clip-on-the-handle-bar compasses on various websites. I wanted one for a 2-wheeler I once had. I just googled "handle bar compass" and quite a number of hits came up. Not expensive either.

    Short jaunt around the lake

My husband came up with the shingles when he was 73 back in 2010. Was pretty much in the same area as yours. They gave him some kind of med right away and it shortened the lifespan of the bubbles/oozing somewhat. Bathed it with calamine lotion twice a day. It was nasty, nasty, gross-looking...

What's your 2022 RTL getting for gas mileage?

My '21 RTL sounds like a thrashing machine compared to my 2008 Honda Gold Wing GL1800. I have driven up behind people on the Gold Wing and they had no idea I was there.

What's your 2022 RTL getting for gas mileage?

On my ‘21 RTL I get a consistent 37mpg now using 93 octane and Eco mode… driving highway speeds (70+) to get to the slower twisty country lanes and back on the highway for home. First tank of gas off the showroom floor I got 41… I was shocked. It settled to 39 for several months and now is...

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

In 1981: 1981 Honda Silverwing Interstate GL500. But was riding a 1972 Honda CB350 around before that and then went to 2-wheel training where they used Honda Nighthawk 250's.. fun little bike.

After larger Heated grips for 2022 RTS S2S - any ideas?

I have had foam grips on ALL of my 2 and 3 wheel motorcycles, trike and Spyder. Heat has always come through just fine. Here is what I bought for my '21 Spyder RTL: Amazon Grab-On Grips Grip Cover MC402 Back in March 2021 I paid $13.00 on Prime Delivery.

21 RT Rear Trunk won't stay open - any cheap repairs?

Dealer replaced the trunk item under warranty for me last month on my '21 RTL. Now the lid lifts itself after I push the release button and give it a gentle nudge up. When brand-new I would push the release button and the lid would just sit there until I pushed it up - but would stay up until...

A request for an additional feature, 'Return to Top of Page', if possible

I cannot find now how I did this on Spyderlovers... been a while now... and I have done this on other forums. After a thread opens the most recent posting is at the top of the page, right in front of me. I don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the most recent one. I do scroll...

Need a Seat Cushion for my 2022 RTL - any suggestions?

My Air Hawk is very old. I bought it for a Suzuki Boulevard with a big touring seat. That same cushion has been on my Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1700, my Kawasaki Vulcan 900, and my Honda Gold Wing GL1800. I never carried a passenger so don't know what size that back seat would take. Quite frankly...

Short Term Mixing Tire Types: Dangerous?

Yes it was Coyote. Since the rear tire is so involved as to change I thought I would let Rocky do that one as he is very good and knows the intricacies of the Spyder … but am thinking of letting Destination Power Sports here in Kerrville change the fronts in a month or so since they are...

Short Term Mixing Tire Types: Dangerous?

I keep up with reading all the tire threads here but do not recall having come across any discussion of this subject: 2021 RTL In need of a rear tire VERY soon...within 2000 more miles, per dealer at 9,300 mile oil change.... I am at 10,000 miles now. Dealer has a Kumho tire he will put on...

2020 RTL - thoughts from the first 200 miles

Told you you would like it!! Our neat ride to Willow City Loop did indeed yield Blue Bonnet sightings.. we were surprised and pleased. They should be bountiful in a couple of weeks. Come on over and enjoy the ride and the flowers! By the way… what color scheme is the new ride?

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

Got mine the other day. Installation was easy-peasy and quick. Rode 108 miles yesterday.. some of it in a congested traffic area with several turns.. it worked like a champ.. first time, every time!! Showed it off to other Spyder riders in the group… now they want one too. Thank you, thank...
