• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    CRUISE CONTROL W/TRAILER

Thanks, JT. I just use the sound of the engine and the feeling in the seat of my pants ...:doorag:

Travel Route Suggestions for Maggie Valley

That is pretty hard to advise you because it is a bit vague. Are you going to VA before Maggie Valley? Charleston seems to be pretty far out of the way, unless that is someplace you want to visit (I could spend days there so I would not try it on a quick trip). You might look at 95 to 26 and...

    CRUISE CONTROL W/TRAILER

2011 RT SM5 pulling a non-BRP trailer and I use cruise all the time - when common sense dictates. I use it in any vehicle that has it, including the 18 wheelers I have driven. Since I don't have "trailer mode" (not even sure what it does) I just click on the cruise once I am at the speed I...

Interesting Observation on BRP Adjustable Air Deflectors

I have the adjustable deflectors, Baker Air Wings and SpyderPops plate and so far, the only time the heat is too bad is when stopped. One thing I do notice is if the deflector is turned in it really tends to blow up my t-shirt, causing my concealed .45 to be exposed. This is OK in GA but...

    Memorial Day

We were honored to stand with other Georgia Patriot Guard members at the Veterans Day ceremony at the Andersonville National Historic site in Andersonville, GA. Enjoy this video and remember the nearly 13,000 soldiers that died at this prison camp. When tied to the abuses at the other civil...

Looking for the thread on how to preset the radio.

Don't have the link but it is pretty simple ... (you have to be stopped for this)... Using the MODE button, select AM or FM. Press and hold the SET button. When the display changes, you will be able to use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to select the station you want. Once on the station, press...

Most comfortable long distance seat? Corbin, Russell, Day-Long, Ultimate.......

A good idea would be to head over to the owners event in MV next month. You could see which seat feels good - I am sure folks would let you check the seats out.

    Graphics - Wrap or Airbrush

I chose the wrap option. Cost was a factor and I liked the idea of changing it if I wanted without much trouble. I used a sign shop in Kingsland and they designed it to my satisfaction and they gave me a 7 year warranty against failure (it is marine vinyl) . There are probably a number of...

    Would you change this tire?

I would. You can see that the wear bar is the same level as the tread in the center. I replaced mine with a little over 20K and it looked about the same. Based on some of the posts you see on here we should be happy the rear tires last so long for us. I will probably do the fronts before MV...

    BRP Wind Deflectors

I have the clear (or opaque) and added to the effect of my Air Wings I get plenty of air flow and I know it will be more comfortable for the mid summer riding.

    Shortee Antenna

I had a Shortee antenna but it fell off before it could rust. I picked up a short, all metal antenna at Advance Auto for 11.99 (I never liked the rubber type from WM). It came with the proper adapter and has been on the bike for over a year. I live near the ocean and a river in very humid...

    Electrical Question

I use the backlight lead and the ground lead to power my GPS - no problems with that. Another post mentioned that you need to ensure the conversion of the bike's 12VDC to the 5VDC needed for your USB devices.

Girls on Spyders logo - we're "official" now!

Hi Faran, I like your new logo and will be getting my wife some shirts from Len's store. Will you be making a patch of this - or stickers? Thanks and we hope to see you in Maggie Valley.

    Engine vibration at 6000 rpm

At 6K I think it is telling me to shift ...;) I am one of those folks that prefers to run in the range between 4000 - 5000 (5200 at 75 mph). I do have a SM 5 and I stay in the highest gear possible without lugging the engine. This has worked well for me for the last 28,000 miles ...

    Sirius XM Radio

I have one mounted in the trunk with the antenna stuck at the top of the passenger back rest. It works great but for some reason when I unplug the power plug it blows the F9 fuse - still trying to find out what is happening there. I just turn the unit off and all is well. I use the BRP single...
