• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1200 miles and dead in the water

parts issue Accessories are normally developed after the production vehicle has been confirmed so these parts are normally delayed as suppliers need lead time and engineering also needs time to develop but the actual parts used to assemble the production unit are more readily available unless...

    BRP's Target Market

30-45 They do this to make it more appealing to the people outside the `TARGETED`range. People think that if it is marketed for that type and age group, that they can ride one too, it makes them feel younger or maybe more of a rebel and it actually widens the perspective group. I guess it is...

Rear pulley Group buy? Which manufacturer?

The Aprilia sportbike it came from can rev but has 6th gear also. I find the Spyder easier to back up than a motorcycle so i would give up reverse for the sixth gear but this might create harmonics with the belt or other components as the load and rpm range will change. Still, I would like to...

Rear pulley Group buy? Which manufacturer?

If you could find a ratio where you make the front larger and the rear smaller, you could use the same belt. I am sure there would be a few people interested in a kit like that.

    Whats up with people?

the bird I was at a stop light where it had just turned green. the gus in the car in front of me were checking out the girl on the sidewalk so I gave them a polite beep of the horn. They turned around and both flipped me the bird, as I reacted returning the favour I noiced the scruffy to...

If only BRP would pay me to advertise

Looks awesome, I think BRP would think the same as long as you aren't out somewhere commiting road rage. Who can refuse free advertising. They would have to start paying everyone on the site for promoting the Spyder. Lamonster would be a millionaire for his advertising contribution if he isn't...

    Spydie just lost all power.

must have been on the starter solenoid, the live side of the high tension wire, at the starter there is no current flow until you hit the start stop button and the solenoid engages. You have a great dealer, who gives great service. Ride On.

    Creeping

The centrifugal clutch has small rollers that look like dumbells. As the rpm's increase the rollers move outwards and spread the centrifugal outwards and applies pressure on the clutch pack which is very similar to the SM5 and other motorcycles. If the rollers don't return all the way when the...

    Low mileage question

check that all updates are done, if there are any and then add super unleaded to the remaining fuel to balance out the octane and the other fluids aren't 2 yrs old yet so they should be fine other than the engine oil which I would replace right away.

    Engine Coolant

50/50 mix any aluminum compatible which is just about all of them nowadays. Cars and trucks all have some aluminum components coolant circulates though. Brp sells pre mix because it just easier for everyone, Prestone does too.

    Pulls to the left...???

Ask the dealer to perform the brake pressure pedal test when hooked to the computer, it should consistently be over 508 lbs every time you push it, mine is around 850 on the first try. i think you probably have air somewhere in the system especially if it is pulling when braking.

    Has anyone e-mailed Carlo..

It should be warranty, they will not brake other than when adjusting if the front shocks are not unloaded. They are stressed differently when adjusting. I used to see them break quite a lot on the old snowmobiles but only when adjusting . BRP has some powder coated black billet ones that are...
