• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gave up on BRP connect

Lots of negative comments here about BRP Connect. Well, I for one have had nothing but good luck with it. Love it as a matter of fact. I use it primarily with Sygic Maps, works fantastic. Just have to learn how to use it. I'm using an android - Samsung smart phone with it, works great and...

With $25,000.00 U.S. cash in hand as a deposit - maybe.

    BRP Connect Tach Display?

Try toggling the BRP connect lever with your index finger on the front of the left handlebar control while the nav screen is displayed - will revert back to the tach view. Toggle again and will go back to the nav screen. Should do the trick. Works for me.

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

You're right Pete, it won't protect you from a collision - BUT IT WILL HELP TO PROTECT YOU IN A COLLISION.

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

Same here, I dress the same as when I had my Goldwing too. ATGATT! YOU'RE STILL RIDING ON A SEAT WITH NO SEAT BELT AND NO PROTECTION. IF YOU GET HIT YOU'LL SUFFER THE SAME CONSEQUENCES. WE'RE NO SAFER ON OUR SPYDERS THAN WE WERE ON OUR TWO-WHEELERS - WEAR THE GEAR - PLEASE !!!!!!!

    Cleaning the Spyder

Quarter-Car-Wash, but I avoid the instrument panel and handlebars. Works great and it's quick. Never had an issue.

    Stripped out handlebar bolt :(

A good idea but make sure to heat the stud up really well before trying to twist it our or you make break the stud again. Heat should soften up the yellow thread locker enough to get the stud out easily.

Just Installed Lamonster F3 #3 brake rod

I have Lamonts pos 4 brake rod on my F3Ltd. Made a huge difference. The pedal in the stock position was way too high. I also have Lamonts brake pedal, another great improvement. I recommend both parts.

    New 2020

I agree with biker01red. I would not have accepted delivery of a machine that was not right and had ill fitting parts. At a minimum that would have put pressure on the dealer to make it right . . . JMHO

    Can Am Stinger trailer

I have a Stinger that I bought used. You pretty much need two people to lift / fold it. Some say it can be done alone but it's too heavy for one person, at least for me. I've solved the problem by chocking the wheels and using a Warn Pullzall to lift it. Works like a champ and takes only a...

    instrument cluster removal questions

Your phone will pair with your Spyder. Yes, BRP Connect must be downloaded on to your phone and the phone paired through the "add phone" menu on the Spyders pop-up menu. It can be difficult at first but it will connect. Also, make sure that your phones Bluetooth is turned on. Your phone...

    Rear Tire Question

Pics of my odo and rear tire - pic is a little deceiving, tire shows almost no wear. Also, I did a laser alignment just after delivery (yes, it was out of alignment from the factory). I keep the two fronts at 19psi cold and they also show almost no wear. Maybe the newer Kendas are lasting...

    Rear Tire Question

I read this many times but don't really understand why. I'm just ready to turn 7200 miles on my Kenda rear and seriously, you can't see any wear on it. Still looks almost new. Admittedly I drive easy, ride solo, never two-up and keep 30psi cold in it, but still, how can you wear out a rear...

How to deal with Insurance Company

Kelly Blue Book lists the value of a 2017 RTL as: $13,550 trade-in value, $17710 Typical List Price. Seems like the insurance company would settle for at least trade-in value but I believe that many now days will settle for actual replacement value in case of a total. I've heard this before...

    Parts, parts and more parts

I know that Slingmods is one of the favored suppliers on this forum but I won't do business with them any more. I received a defective item from them (one of the fog lights had a faulty plug) in early 2019 and they wouldn't replace it. Got to the point that they wouldn't even return my emails...

    More M/C industry troubles

I also subscribe to Rider but will probably let my subscription lapse. Years ago it used to be dedicated touring magazine but now it is trying to a "one size fits all" publication for motorcyclists in general. Just doesn't work for me anymore. There's just too many online information sources...
