• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Torx

There are no torx used on the f3 ltd floorboards, they're all allen heads (at least not on my 2019).

    BRP connect question

:2thumbs: Ditto, Sygic maps is the best. Use it and love it. There's a learning curve to BRP Connect that frustrates a lot of owners but once you learn it you'll appreciate it. Two thumbs up to BRP!

    Poll on navigation preferences

    F3L fuel info

The quotes aren't popping up for me today so I don't know who you're asking the question to. In my case, I'm averaging 38.3 mpg on my F3L, combined driving, mostly running errands and some country roads, no highway driving at all, ECO is on 100% of the time, the only way I drive. I actually...

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

JC . . take a look at their website https://www.smoothspyder.com/belt-tensioners/ Current production rollers from Smooth Spyder look to be about the same diameter or only marginally larger than other makes (unless the pictures are deceiving) and have a two year warranty on the roller . . I...

    F3L fuel info

Don't know if you're keeping track of the mileage on the F3 but here's what I'm averaging over the last 1800 miles or so.

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

Good information  When you removed the left rear footrest support bracket and jacked the rear end up to remove the lower shock bolt was there any misalignment of the bolt holes getting it reassembled?

    To Those Living In Florida

Don't know where you live in FL or how long you've been here, or maybe I'm just feeling defensive today, but of all the states I've live in (and there's been quite a few), Florida is absolutely the best I've ever experienced. I've been here for over 25 years and haven't regretted a minute of...

    BRP Connect working

It's not hard once you figure it out. Lot's of grumbling about BRP connect but it's great once you learn the system !

    Can Am Stinger trailer

I've been considering a Stinger trailer ($2599 delivered) for some time now because if I do buy a trailer I pretty much have to have a folding trailer which will store upright. I live in a gated deed restricted community where no RV or trailer storage of any kind is permitted . . pretty much...

    BEST Warranty

$670 and I called BRP customer service after the fact and they verified the BEST extended warranty is on the books and will be honored by any BRP dealer selling Spyders ! Money well spent for piece of mind if nothing else.

Fall Spyder & Bike Fest to Benefit Road Warrior Foundation, Deland FL 10-31 thru 11-2 I've known about this for a while but haven't seen anything about it here on the forum, maybe I just missed it. Anyway, just a reminder . . . https://fallspyderfesttobenefitroadwarriorsfoundation.com/

    Rear Turn Signal Lamps

Not sure what model Spyders you're referring to but on the OEM rear turn bulbs (on my F3LTD) the pins on the bulbs are 120 degrees apart whereas the 1156 pins are 180 degrees apart if I'm not mistaken. 1156 definitely will not work on my F3Ltd.

    Big Bang Theory - Gearbox

Not necessarily so - would "clunk/bang" from neutral to 1st or Rev whether it was just started or already running and put into neutral for some reason (and then back to 1st or Rev) - have done it many times. Just changed my oil and there was absolutely nothing on the transmissions magnetic...

    Led headlights

I also used this same kit: Genessi Elite. Kit no. is G7-ELT-H4. They work very well and have far superior illumination than the standard halogen H4 bults.

    New GPS?

If you're looking at Sygic to use with BRP Connect on your Spyder, someone's confused! Seems that most of the skeptics have not actually used Sygic or Genius maps on BRP Connect. I've traveled all over the US using a Garmin 660LM when I was on a Goldwing. With my Spyder, after downloading the...

    2019 F3 Limited

I suspect that the reason the engine has to be running to power the USB ports (two of them back there) is because they don't want you charging your gadgets back there with just the ignition on and possible draining the battery.

    2019 F3 Limited

Mine was not connected by the dealer at setup either. I check polarity and hooked them up to the terminals under the trunk (which are labeled + and -). The light in the trunk will come on with the ignition but the engine has to be running to get power to the USB ports.
