• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please, I need advice re Putting a Spyder on ramps?

Though I do have and use common automotive Ramps for some Spyder maintenance, I also would recommend something like the $140 (at this time) Harbor Freight PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE 1500 lb. Steel ATV/Motorcycle Lift or one of the many, many other heavily discussed Spyder lifts. I've used the HFPA...

    Profile picture test post.

OK Greg, looks like you've updated both your Avatar and Profile Picture, but for the life of me, my 64yo brain can't comprehend what I'm looking at? A close up selfie of you with your winter motorcycle balaclava (not to be confused with a tasty baklava), and a modular helmet with the chin bar...

Double D Ring vs Ratchet Straps...What do you prefer?

Both my wife and I are VERY happy with our new Schuberth C5 (DOT Approved) with the Ratchet Straps, takes some getting used to compared to the DD's but we're getting much quicker at getting helmed up and off when riding. I feel safe with the Ratchet Strap system they use, especially with the DOT...

Now is the time to get ready for your spyder winter projects

Dave, Can I combine both a seat heater AND the Gel modification to an Optional BRP Comfort Seat. I just finished my first cold weather LD warm-up. I'm thinking I need both., Also 2018 RTL Anniversary Edition Spyder doesn't have a seat heater switch, does that come with your kit?

A front wheel WILL come off the ground (I found out this weekend)

So I take you all haven't seen the 6 year old video of the guy test driving one of the Police model Spyders, pulls out of the parking lot in a Spyder salute wheelie. Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zElfDrZzvl8

BRP Go!/BRP Connect & Dash Radio won't connect! Anyone managed?

Ah ha, maybe that is my issue with feeding my Sena and Schuberth headsets from the phone through the Spyder Audio, I usually don't even attempt to start my music until after starting the Spyder. Now I gotta go out to my Spyder Den (storage trailer) and play with it trying it this way (starting...

RT Bluetooth add-on - must it really use a phone as source?

Strange, I have an 18RTL Anniversary Edition, and a Samsung Galaxy 10+ and was never able to feed the phones audio to the Spyder's audio successfully into my Sena or Schuberth Headsets through the Bike (though I could listen to that audio on the Spyder's speakers). I could easily send the audio...

RT Bluetooth add-on - must it really use a phone as source?

The BRP Bluetooth is a receiver to allow your Bluetooth capable phone (or even a {gasp} IPOD) to send audio to the Spyder's audio system and play out through the bike's speakers, it's not a pass through that sends audio to a helmet audio system, Lamonster and others sell a different bluetooth...

Do I really need a GPS?

Slice, No you don't, (unless you really just want one ;) ) I routinely use just my Galaxy S10 on an overdash (Tacform on RAM) mount, connected with a dedicated USB C charge cable right off the built-in accessory circuit (at the back of the frunk). I plan my routes using Google Maps with up to...
