• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are there any safe & convenient ways to carry Reserve Fuel?

I too have and carry the Reda Can, inside their ultra heavy duty ziplock bag in my RT when doing my Iron Butt rides as a solo rider. I have only had to use it one time when on I-90 heading east from Wall Drug into the strongest headwinds I've ever rode in. and that was on a 998 twin. It was a...

Why do I need to re-log in after changing threads?

Sometimes, on computers, well meaning security folks or programs, clear cookies or set all cookies as temporary, (some VPN software etc) Which would generate the behavior you're reporting. (IF it's a computer viewing the site in a web browser).

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

A dealer told me ....Because they want to sell you 3 Kenda's for the price of one decent tire. This doesn't sound right unless someone mounted an incorrect sized tire. ..... Likely true, There are way more non-kenda tires that fit perfectly if you shop around. There are many threads here that...

Battery Dead, seat not opening - does it need power to open?

No, the seat release on an '11 is a cable from the ignition switch to the seat release. Sometimes it's a push down on the seat while turning the key (pushing the key into the switch, then turning) to the seat release side, then the seat will release and you can lift it. That cable may need...

Any problem transporting a Spyder RT (2015) on Flatbed without wheel chocks.

NoFlyzone, I use the front shock Eyebolts from TricLED that are powder coated black, then cross the front tie downs to prevent the front from shifting side to side (then I don't need the extra blocking). I then loop the tie-down ratchet strap around the rear rim to the rear trailer corner...

Is this LH Multifunction handlebar cluster button connected? Will anything else fit?

On RT's that lower switch is to raise and lower the windshield, same LH Multifunction handlebar cluster. Don't know if the F3 wiring is the same up to the cluster though. RT's LH Multifunction Cluster F3's LH Multifunction cluster

How much room to tie down a Spyder in a 7' x 12' Enclosed Trailer?

I started with a 7x14 enclosed V-nosed trailer (with extra headroom, which provided for longer rear door ramp) for just that reason, mine had the front side door so I don't have to climb over the fenders, but can and regularly do that. Trailer came with built in frame mounted front and rear...

Where are my Trunk & Frunk power supplies? What is needed to add them?

Helped a buddy use Lamonster's cable to add a Garmin GPS and his heated gear connection on his '23 RTL. +1 for using that.

At what mileage did you buy your first set of replacement tires?

2013 RTL with Factory Kenda at factory pressure, 10,856 miles, mostly two up, fronts last until 20,000 or so. 2018 RTL with Factory Kenda at factory pressure, 8,150 miles, mostly two up, everything replaced with Vredestien's. 2013 OEM Kenda at 4 years and 10k+ looked like this (replaced after...

What do you think about long term use of Throttle enhancement products? Feedback?

Lamonster Garage bought (and supported) Pedal Box (non BT) on my 2018 RTL over 8,000 miles no problems, except my face hurts smiling so much. Have helped a couple others put them in and they feel the same. Mine's hidden under the seat and I don't think my wife even knows I added it as I...

Should I worry about speakers/dash when Washing my Spyder? What do you do?

Yep, made by the same company making SeeDoo's and SkiDoo's, speakers are basic Powersports (waterproof) speakers and having ridden in monsoon type rains water doesn't affect them at all.

Should I buy OEM RT floorboard and passenger lights? Or a/mkt options?

I have an '18 RTL and ride with a buddy on a '23 with the OEM floorboard LEDs. Amazing how much light they throw down and out, definitely makes the Spyder much more visible from the rear and sides; though his have had problems (twice back to the dealer to correct, possibly they weren't properly...

Where does this Battery Bracket fit on 2018 RTL?

+1 There are slots cut in the frame above the battery box that those tabs tuck up into once the battery is in place. Then the rubber strap connects below the bottom of the battery box to the flat hook on the front of that bracket. Moabman has a nice youtube video on Battery removal and...
