• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RT-L - is jacking using the rear shock mount safe?

I've used a $100 Harbor Freight or Northern Tools Pittsburgh ATV Lift and 3 basic jackstands to stabilize when it's up in the air. Very Solid work platform. And if you want to do your own Baja Ron Sway bar, a homemade wooden platform that fits on top of the ATV lift for the extra height needed.

looking for service - repair in Minnesota

Another Plus 1 for Les and Kay Caswell and their crew. Likely the best known and respected Spyder mechanics and dealership in the state. Not that there aren't some other good ones, but they're likely the closest best dealer to you. Enjoy the North woods.

Any recommendations on where to get 2012 RT-S SM5 service manuals?

I bought mine from GreatRepairManuals.com and usually only print the pages I need as I'm doing maintenance, The printed pages go in a binder with tabs https://greatrepairmanuals.com/product-category/street-motorcycles-manuals/can-am-spyders-manuals/can-am-spyders/

Would adding a Ramp extension reduce the scraping?

Ramp extensions that fold can be made that end up supporting the original road end of the ramp when folded out doubling the ramp length but still folding down out of the way when trailering.

Want an a/mkt exhaust with low tones & some volume - suggestions?

I've done a Cat Delete with an Akrapovic exhaust and liked the sound. Also found that Heat wrapping the Cat delete and tuned pipe helped sound as well. Have heard Two Brothers and RLS Exhaust have some that are a bit louder. https://www.rlsexhaust.com/

Is the ST2 Flashing Brake Light System Plug'n'play on 2020+ RT?

I installed mine on my '18 RTL last August and love it, except for it cancelling my cruise control too sensitively, they're sending me a diagram of how to add a diode inline to prevent this.

Baja Ron's new Ultra Sway bar is great! Easier to install, too!

It's usually listed on Baja Ron's Facebook "store" https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057310845203 or easier yet, just call Ron's shop (423) 609-7588 - they'll hook you up. I put the ultra-bar on my '18 (I'm a 260lb driver) and still had to add his front shock pre-load adjusters but...

Has anyone solved the riddle of using Bluetooth and USB charging? BRP Connect...

I found I could buy a "Charge Only" USB cord to use, likely has those datablockers installed or they just left out the data cables. Same result, phone stays charged while connected and BT to the sound system for everything else.

Is there any user friendly Radio to replace OEM radio?

You could try Crutchfield, but most of us upgraded speakers and added a Bluetooth adapter that Lamonster carries. I got my '13 RTL upgrade speakers from Crutchfield, way better... And if it's really radio (like AM or FM) that you're having issues with, it could be an antenna connection issue...

Question for the RT owners - what's a mint '19 RTL worth?

As a rider of both a '13 RTL and '18 RTL If you do buy the '19, then get the BRP Armrests, my SWMBO insists it's the best upgrade I put on either of our RTL's.
