• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear wheel clunk, wheel bearings are good - could it be a loose spacer tube? Your thoughts/any ideas on how to make the noise stop?

Al, those wheel bearings are hydraulically pressed into the hub. I doubt they’ve moved or come loose. Over time, under all of that axle torque, the spacer will compress a hair. The spacer would all tighten up once the axle is torqued. Ron is asking the main question. What triggers/causes it? I...

Can I use the blank switch for Accessory power/spotlights on my 2023 F3S? What are the wires already attached?

Hey Bud. Would you like to just keep it simple? The wiring harness and relay are already installed on your F3 for mounting the lights in the factory location. That circuit has a low beam and fog light function. However, the factory kit is pretty pricey. 710 bucks US. Just the switch is $140...

2015 F3 SM6 with Fault Code P0512 & trying to start itself - anyone else experiencing this?

Hey Zombie. You'll benefit from a shop manual, if you don't have one. Troubleshooting electrical glitches on the internet is not that effective. To have the problem that you've described, you need to have two failures, or some circuit compromise, either by damage or by installation of all of...

Need some advice about a suitable cover sturdy enough to protect my Spyder if left outside for several months?

Vito. You're getting to the point now that your concerns about the city can be answered with one phone call. Typically, zoning regs do not consider something permanent if it's not on a foundation, not easily moved, and meant to be temporary. Make the call, or just do it. What kind of "grief" are...

Any ideas on how to fix this Sticky brake pedal?

Vito. There’s a safety recall for that. You get a new switch and spring. Get it done before something bad happens to you. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2023/RCSB-23V175-2373.pdf

2026 S2S transmission failure - Anyone else having similar issues?

Hey Randy. Just a clarification question for my little lizard brain. You say it "just goes into Neutral". Did you mean that literally, one second you're in 6th gear and a split second later it pops into Neutral? Or, does it start downshifting all on its own, and sequentially downshifts through...

Is this DESS battery drain normal?

So, you pulled F7 and your parasitic drain went away. That takes me back a ways. There’s nothing bad about your module. So, you have DESS 1.0, the original; version of DESS. It was very reliable in its operation, but a royal pain to program. It's not done with BUDS. You have to have two discrete...

Any ideas about why my Spyder has No Crank - What gives?

Yes, I see where you’re going with that. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a phantom voltage when you turn on the key. Looking at the drawing, you have verified that the Start Pushbutton is working when you tested the yellow wire. Also, when you push the Start Pushbutton, you bring power down...

Any ideas about why my Spyder has No Crank - What gives?

Was that voltage purple to ground all the time, or just when you pushed the start button? I assumed it was when you pushed the button. The voltage when the button is pushed is what’s important. That shows that the prestart relay and button are working. There are two ACC sources on the 2011...

Any ideas about why my Spyder has No Crank - What gives?

What we know so far: - The bike is in Neutral - Check - Your "test" power supply issue is worked out and the solenoids are working correctly after all - Check - You ARE actually getting voltage to the control tabs of the solenoid - Check - You measured control tab voltage - that should be the...

Any ideas about why my Spyder has No Crank - What gives?

Yeah Drift. I'm intrigued why, even your spare "on the bench" solenoid doesn't appear to operate with voltage applied to the control coil tabs. It can't be that complicated. Either the solenoids you are using are faulty, the solenoids are not 12VDC solenoids after all, your 13 volt power supply...

You didn’t mention the Kill Switch in RUN in your second paragraph. Being in STOP causes a “no crank” on a Spyder.

2012 RT experiencing mushy brakes - pedal hitting the a/mkt floorboard! Why now?? Re-installed OEM gear, still mushy! Any ideas or suggestions?

No, there is no Spyder Master Cylinder Rebuild kit. The one that you think you've found is for the Shindy hand brake master cylinder, which explains why it shows up on multiple parts lists, including Honda and Yamaha. It is sometimes designated as "universal fit", and there are hand brake kits...

2012 RT experiencing mushy brakes - pedal hitting the a/mkt floorboard! Why now?? Re-installed OEM gear, still mushy! Any ideas or suggestions?

If you apply firm pressure to the pedal, and it stays put and doesn’t slowly sink to the bottom of travel, then I wouldn’t blame the master cylinder just yet. Not sure if any of this below applies to your situation, but some info for you or whomever. Smoak shows in his videos the design issues...
