• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 RT experiencing mushy brakes - pedal hitting the a/mkt floorboard! Why now?? Re-installed OEM gear, still mushy! Any ideas or suggestions?

Ah, that makes sense now. Apologies to all concerned. That's a crying shame. It would have been so useful to have that available. I was going to buy a kit to stock up with for when my Spyder needed it down the road. I suspect that at least the part may have been used on Lancia cars as indeed...

My 2025 RTL Display has blacked out a couple of times - any thoughts?

I'd put money on ignorance. If the battery has enough charge to start the bike you just bought it must be good to go. I got my Spyder the 5 miles home, took the battery out and then charged it overnight. With a 4 AMP maintainer it drew over 2 AMPs until it was fully charged sometime the next...

2012 RT experiencing mushy brakes - pedal hitting the a/mkt floorboard! Why now?? Re-installed OEM gear, still mushy! Any ideas or suggestions?

Does the fluid get dark in the reservoir as the clock clicks down to two years? That could be the master cylinder seals deteriorating and the particulates getting back into the fluid in the master cylinder. Changing the fluid for new might be re-swelling the seal which lasts for about a year or...

My 2025 RTL Display has blacked out a couple of times - any thoughts?

If this is the case, which is not a bad idea, you could insist your dealer installs a Yuasa battery. Mine was in UT. If they have any sense, they'll spend a little more on the battery to reduce the number of warranty returns. When you get home, you might want to take it out, charge it fully on...

UK Ryker owners - Is a Ryker Rally Suitable for UK's Potholed Roads?

I looked up the Learning to Ride a Spyder on the UK website at https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/gb/en/discover/learn-to-ride.html It was less than helpful. Your dealer might have more info. You could try contacting your local Motorcycle Safety Foundation or whatever the UK equivalent is. I...

UK Ryker owners - Is a Ryker Rally Suitable for UK's Potholed Roads?

The problem is I was raised in the East End of London. I've been in the US for 35+ years. I'm now married to an American from the East Coast. I end up not being able to remember which phraseology or spelling is which. I know most of the differences, I just get confused as to which one to use...

Your Weather News @ August 2026

Triple digits today and worse tomorrow. Extreme heat warning. A lot of smokey haze. The Widemouth2 fire is still threatening three towns from Fillmore, UT to the South. 100,000 acres and still growing. Evacuation orders being updated today. Firefighting resources are being stretched to the...

Taking a trip to windshield-land - what do you recommend?

How about if you just cut a check with the Canadian government and tell them to refund UPS? A brokerage fee of CAN $86 seems frankly outrageous. It's all done electronically, it's not like somebody at UPS had to hand carry a check to a Canadian government office? I think I might be challenging...

My 2025 RTL Display has blacked out a couple of times - any thoughts?

Mine actually came with a Yuasa battery. I suspect Can Am has been multiple sourcing of batteries depending upon the originating country's tariff arrangements when exporting goods from Canada into the US. Country of origin for parts or components has suddenly become significant when dealing with...

UK Ryker owners - Is a Ryker Rally Suitable for UK's Potholed Roads?

I ride my late model Sea to Sky here in the US Mountain West. Some roads are like the freeways and the urban surface streets are smooth enough. Up in the mountain canyons where I often ride, the roads suffer from not being regularly maintained and they suffer from freezing water and snow plow...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Sorry, born in 1959. I’m getting old before my time. The only thing I can think of was “by”, as in Wallaby? Bing bang.

Anyone know of a source for a 2010 RT brake cable? Or any alternatives that will fit?

Sounds like you’re missing running into something.:) Better find out now than later.

Anyone know of an item that will allow Can Am Go navigation to broadcast instructions over the speakers?

I'm not a user of BRP Go! navigation. I know for Apple CarPlay with Apple Maps, you just need a USB connection to the Spyder from your phone and a Bluetooth connection to your helmet. However, I believe to get certain functions out of BRP functions outside of Apple CarPlay you need the same...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Ah, got you. I have an exponentially reducing brain function. I get lost on the threads. I'm easily confused. Don't ever get old, it's not good.

Can BUDS (or anything) change the Throttle effort on a Spyder?

One of the after market products like PedalBox or Pedal Commander won't change the throttle spring tension, nor will they increase the ultimate performance, but they will reduce the amount of angle you have to twist the throttle in order to open the throttle bodies. They work by intercepting...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

That unfortunately is nearly five states away. It's just a tad too far when my local dealer is 5 miles down the road and they do a decent job with service and maintenance.

    Review: Elka Stage 2's on 2015 F3 S

You might want to watch some videos by Dave Moss on his “Two Clicks Out” series on you tube. A lot of it is setting sag, spring rates and damping for track riders though he of does setups for two wheel road bikes. However, he talks a lot about the principles of what he is doing. He’s certainly...

August 17th 6:30 PM ET for BRP Can Am and Sea Doo 2027 lineup event

I think the move to digital interfaces was a result of marketing a vehicle reviewers. They’ve kind of told us this is what we want, because it looks cool and modern. Vehicle makers have gone on to try to one up each other as this has become one of the few ways to differentiate their products. I...
