• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nov 2025 Bucket list trip to North Carolina and back, over 2400 miles.

Tuesday Nov 4. The morning was cold and we had ice on our Spyder covers. The hotel has a container with towels to wipe the bikes. We planned to make this an easier day, after two very long days of riding. We did a section of the Blue Ridge Parkway South of Maggie Valley. This section is over...

Nov 2025 Bucket list trip to North Carolina and back, over 2400 miles.

A little backstory first - last year a group of 4 of us Spyder ryders spent 4 days in Vermont and NH and we had a great time riding together and found that we were quite compatible. So for this year, I asked the guys to reserve the first week of November for another group trip. Three of us are...

Any advice on 'better than stock' F3 heated grips?

You can do what I did. I added snowmobile heated grip elements over the stock grips and use bicycle handlebar tape over them. I bit of a project to get the wiring right, and the right high power switch for them, but they work great. Or, I would suggest just getting heated gloves.

Hope I'm not done riding my Spyder for the year?!

I've been riding snowmobiles for many years. When I got the Spyder in 2020, I figured if I can ride the snowmobile in -15° F without heated gear, I can ride the Spyder in cold weather as well. Riding a snowmobile is much more physically active than the Spyder, and I quickly found that heated...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I have the same jacket, and my wife has the ladies equivalent. We were out for a ryde yesterday, stopped at a pub for a late lunch. Our waitress gave us compliments on our great looking jackets!

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

I have a Carpuride Carplay device I use with my F3S. Nothing is connected to the bike at all, just my phone and Sena headset. I also occasionally get freezing up, or not reconnecting after powering down and back up. It usually reconnects after one or two restarts. So I think the problem that...

Spyder - Trader Joe's - A case of Two buck chuck will fit!

I just had to google Two Buck Chuck and find out about it. Interesting read on Snopes: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/cheap-swills/

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Re-adjusted my drive belt tracking. It had gotten a good quarter inch away from the sprocket.

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

Yes it wouldn't make sense for that shock. The part # for my front shock is 706001699. It's listed at $409.99.

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

At about 50,000 miles, my 2020 F3S left front shock was leaking. Replaced it with a friend's take off shock with less than 15K on it. I also found out that those shocks are rebuild-able.

Long Weekend Incident Report – Can-Am Spyder RT Limited

If I were to purchase a 9 year old Spyder, I would expect it to need some work and budget accordingly. Or, I would decide to buy a newer bike for somewhat more money but that wouldn't need the repairs. This is your first roadside breakdown in over 20 years? Consider yourself lucky. Many...

Anyone tried Rotating their front directional tires? Worth it?

I could see changing to these next time. So not having to deal with the unmount/remount rotation.

Anyone tried Rotating their front directional tires? Worth it?

The tire dealer I bought my Vredesteins from rotated them for me for no charge. Yes that was unmounted and remounted for the directional change.

Wish I had not gone with a Vredestien Tire

I'm on my second set of Vredesteins and am very happy with them. I'll get them again next time. Same favorable experience and comments as those mentioned above so I won't repeat them.

    F3 Limited first impressions

I hated using my phone on the handlebars. Bought a Carpuride and much happier with it. It's much easier to use and have multiple windows with Waze and Spotify running.

Where are you from? Where do you live?

I would love to do that but I can't seem to get my wife to agree.

What's YOUR Number One Favorite, Model & Year, of Spyder you'd own given the chance?

IMHO, anything model year 2020 or newer. RT changed in 2020 and the new ones have better ergonomics. F3 hasn't changed that much other than displays. Personally I prefer the F3. The RT seating position is too high for my likes but the RT has more storage in the frunk. So it will depend on...
