• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 Ryker Rally rear seat stuck - any suggestions?

The seat is off! A layer of dried mud and sand glued the seat and the mount together. I broke the seal with a rubber mallet . . . not tapping . . . that didn't do anything . . . but bashing on the rear of the hand grips and the backrest pivot got it to move. Had to drive it off - a smidgen at...

2022 Ryker Rally rear seat stuck - any suggestions?

I just purchased a 2022 Rally. I can't get the rear seat off. I've looked at every YouTube video on" How to Remove the Seat" (Raise button, slide seat forward). 1. The release button is up. Nothing protrudes from the bottom of the seat. 2.There are no screws or bolts showing on the underside of...

VSS triggers at start if I forget to shift to neutral before shutting down - normal?

My 2022 S2S always showed VSS on start. Replaced the battery and VSS vanished. I shut down with bike in first gear. No problem.

    Where did you ride?

My dad introduced me to riding in a 1937 Harley's sidecar when I was two weeks old. I've ridden bikes for the following 85 years. When I'm not riding, I love to read about other rider's adventures. Itchy Boots leads the list. There are a lot of reports here, but very few posted lately. With the...

Best seats - are Russell Day Long seats REALLY that good?

I'm lucky. I've ridden multiple 500-mile days on my 2022 S2S with a stock seat and don't suffer from "Monkey Butt" or any other problems. Maybe it's because I've been riding stock seats on motorcycles since I bought my first 1934 Harley in 1950. Yes, I was eleven years old. In the...

First long ride coming, 2015 RTS - any advice?

Riding 400 miles to Texas is not like a trip to the moon. Relax and enjoy the adventure. If you worry too much about the "What if's . . ." , you should hunker down in your recliner and watch Leave it to Beaver reruns. Or, get out of Dodge and enjoy the freedom of traveling on a Spyder. It's just...

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

Wow! Stories are popping up. I'm enjoying every one of them. Okay, you there, sitting on the end of the log, what's your best memory? How'd you get that mark on your . . .? Do all jails feature bologna sandwiches? Three days of balogna...

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

Hi, Thanks guys. This is what I was talking about at the beginning of this thread . . . sharing. I love hearing other folks experiences and how they solved a problem when umpteen miles from home. I would have missed my wedding rehearsal after a tire went flat on my Harley a...

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

Hi, Reminds me of being caught in a snowstorm in Illinois. I pulled into a gas station and wrapped my body in layers of newspaper for insulation. Covered the newspaper with plastic trash bags for wind protection and made it home. Newspaper, plastic bags and duct tape can be life savers.:ohyea:

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

Navydad, You don't have to be a "writer!" Imagine you're sitting by a campfire or on a patio or even a lakeside dock. Tell us in your own words and style about the time you got caught in a thunderstorm in Left-turn-ahead, wherever. You don't get graded like we are in school. We all...

    What's best - Pulling a Camp Trailer, Motel-ing, or Camp-Cabining??

I've done a fair amount of motorcycle touring. I've camped with tents and trailers. As I've aged (85), I've learned to appreciate the convenience of swapping a few more dollars than campgrounds charge . . . for a large bed, air-conditioning, Color TV, and a bathroom a step away featuring a...

Am I alone? Why are there so few ride reports?!?

Hi ARtraveler, Your last post is what I'm looking for. Great photos. It's a beautiful sunshiny day in eastern Tennessee. So, three of us ( A Ryker, a Sea to Sky, and a Honda Africa-Twin) braved the 48-degree start of a 100-mile loop around Kingston. Trees are sporting new leaves...
