• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone purchased a helmet from Europe?

Yea this whole tax on import thing may put a big kybosh on the entire thing though.

I get a Leg pain after riding the RT for more than half an hour - anyone else? Any solutions?

Seating position is my first thought. The way you sit on a "regular" motorcycle vs the RT especially is quite different. Possibly you have something out of position joint wise and its aggravated more on one machine vs the other. Try a chiropractor and see if they can relieve it. I visit mine...

Anyone purchased a helmet from Europe?

I did a little looking last year and ran across the DOT vs ECE cert. Agreed the ECE cert is more stringent than DOT. One of the articles I read basically said an ECE helmet can pass a DOT test, but a lot of DOT helmets won't pass an ECE test. I will say that I have not heard of anyone being...

Anyone purchased a helmet from Europe?

I was wondering if anyone has purchased a helmet from Europe or that general region. I have been considering a new lid. I am really partial to my Bell Mag 9 SENA. So 3/4 helmets is what I like, the internal sun shield is probably a must have. Most helmets with the sun shield have the operating...

After hearing so much hoopla, I finally tried Buc-ee's! Never Again!

WOW A Mickeys? Wonder if Disney knows about this outfit. They would want royalties. I would rather go to Bucees than Wal mart. But now that we have a BJ's now so the big draw to Bucees is not a have to have for me.

Any DIY cup holder ideas out there?

I prefer the ones your cup can sit in and accommodate some different sized drinks. Maybe not the giant cups, but if I get a sweet tea from a local BBQ joint I don't want the cup crushed. Something like this...

Is there any way to charge at more than the 2.1 amps from the USB on the Spyder?

I located the aux power supply and got a couple of power supplies with USB from Amazon. Ran it up to the handle bars and pretty much made a similar deal to the docking station with 2 ports.

Just a heads up from what local forecast is currently. Looks to be low to mid 70's. There is a couple days with some rain early in week. Enjoy and be careful.

Can't get it back into ECO Mode - am I missing a step, or is it dealer time?

When I first got my Spyder I tried it. I felt like it made the downshift a bit different, but that could be me. So after using it and babying it I decided a week or so later to just ride it like I did my Victory. Well in a normal type way. Fuel mileage about the same and I didnt feel like I was...

Intro... My new ride - an F3-T

I like our F3L. Ours has a trunk, but past that, yours is probably about same. I liked the F3 seating better than the RT's for me. Happy trails.

Could disconnecting the positive terminal of the battery for a few days cause any problems?

Yup ASE has the same recommendations. Most new auto systems are "ground" switched power, ie. hot is connected all the time to the item, then when the ground connects, it completes the circuit to make it work.

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

l liked the seating position on the F3 Limited. Felt more natural to me. You might try renting one for a day or 2, I used Twisted Road I think was the site to rent a BMW.

Looking for a suitable Half Cover For a 2019 RT with a Luggage Rack - any thoughts?

Wondering how to jack up Front tire to test for a leak? Any ideas/help?

I would recommend to break the lug nuts loose first. Then jack up and support the left front or which ever wheel has the suspect leak. I jack under the center, you may want to go a little more forward to "tilt" the front up to support it better. Mix some dish soap and water. Lay the tire flat...

No more motorcycle magazines for me...

Mine have also paired down. Roadrunner is the only one I still get (https://www.roadrunner.travel/) I like the shamrock tours of areas and they have some good tips etc. It's an independent family owned magazine and I like supporting small businesses.

Make sure to check your brake linkage when you are doing your maintenance!

My first trip up the NC about 70 miles from home, North of Jacksonville, a light for suspension came on. The bolt for the arm on the shock had fallen out. Good thing I had zip ties with me.

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

If you tie the Spyder down as mentioned by the tires, much like a car dolly pulled behind motor homes the bike suspension will do the work. I had a torsion type enclosed trailer with a 1000 lb small race car stored in it. With weight being in it all the time the rubber torsion part of suspension...

When should you change your Spark Plugs?

Good to know. I hadn't thought about the double RPM being a higher wear on the plugs. I had 2 x 5.7l Hemi vehicles that I had to change plugs in at almost the same time. NGK is what I put back in. 16 plugs each, go ring that up at the cash register. One truck was a 2500, so I had room to work...

Need a measurement please for handlebars.

So I ordered a pair of the "short reach bars" (funny how they almost describe what you need backwards). So anywho, I installed the bars today. I had already installed the riser (spacer) to try to get the bars further back. Some rough measurements kind of showed the set back to be close to the...
