• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Long Weekend Incident Report – Can-Am Spyder RT Limited

Hang in there. Sorry for your misfortunes. I sense your pain. I bought a 14 RT with ~60K miles last fall. I've dumped a bunch of money into it but I am now at a point where everything has been addressed and I (KNOCK ON WOOD) have not had any issues to speak of. I also thought about the...

RT 1330 - are your mpg's comparable to mine??

Totally agree on the comment about 60+mph. I tend to get ~30-35mpg from my 14 RT.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

I see. Looks like my RT is too old. Needs to be 2020+. Thanks though.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Do you happen to have a link for that? I know what you mean by the collision avoidance feature on that truck. I have that on my Subaru (and for backup/reverse) and think it's a great feature.

Is there a paper Ryker Shop manual?

Another difference between paper and digital (PDF) is a big one for me. The ability to search/find for keywords.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Can anyone provide any cost estimate for converting a 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE6 to add a hand brake? I'm probably going to need one sooner or later due to neuropathy and foot drop I've been experiencing lately.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

But if you find a dealer that does, it's not an issue. I have 2014 RT and my local dealer takes good care of me and my bike. Looked into this before I pulled the trigger on buying a 10 year old Spyder. So far, so good for me. YMMV.

What do you carry for Travel Snacks?

I am T2 diabetic and carry at least 2 of the KIND ZEROg Added Sugar Bars along with a 32 oz insulated water bottle in the trunk filled with ice and water. Also carry a sandwich bag with walnuts and a small amount of raisins or dried apricots for when the sugar gets low during a ride. This has...

What are your thoughts on Magic Mirrors or Magnetic Mirror mounts for a 2016 RT Limited?

I have the LaMonster's Magic Mirrors. For me, a no-brainer upgrade. Makes the removal of the mirrors, for which is necessary for just about anything you do to the 14 RT a requirement. Now it only takes me a second to pop them off and on and I know they are held in place a lot safer than the...

LED turn signals and now hyper flash

This worked on my 14 RT: REPROGRAM THE LIGHT CIRCUIT… Hazard lights in off position Turn key on Press and hold hazard flasher to start blinking Hold it for 30 seconds while hazards are flashing Turn off hazard lights off Turn on right turn signal When blinks once turn the key off Do the same...

What's the best way to get a spare key? Any suggestions?

That would be the way to go unless you get flashed to remove the "keyed" requirement. Doing so has some risks but also allow you to use non-keyed key to start your Spyder. I recently had mine done.

Just found these RPM levels for the 1330

I find myself up-shifting when I hear the engine and I believe it's asking for it. Typically this happens at about 3500-3700 RPMs. Am I doing it all wrong on my 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE6? and asking for longer term problems? I'd like to keep my Spyder healthy as long as possible.

What are your thoughts on Magic Mirrors or Magnetic Mirror mounts for a 2016 RT Limited?

I had them installed on my 14 RT last year after I lost a mirror housing on the freeway when I rode over a tree trunk by accident. Funny thing is I rolled over it on my right wheel/tire, but the left mirror jarred loose and hit the pavement. Decided to get the magnets to help avoid that. They do...

RT Rear Trunk looks likely to wear where I press it to close it - is there anything to stop that?

Never, ever, ever believe what any HD guy tells you about things they like about their bike. Deep down inside, they really wish they had Spyders! HAHA!

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

RIP BlueKnight911 🙏🙏🙏. I wanted to add to this post for others to show the price difference in my area (NE Ohio USA) between 87 and 92/93 -It's about $1/gal (33% difference). This is prompting me to consider using 87 in my 14. -

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Interesting thread. I read ALL the posts. I bought my 2014 RT SE6 late last year. I've been using 93 octane since day 1. Now considering switching to 87 octane, but unsure if my year/model has the ECUs knock sensor mentioned in some of the posts in this thread. Can someone please confirm/deny if...

2023 RT Cruise control needs to turn past set point to accelerate - is this right?

It's annoying. At first I thought there was something wrong till I read this thread. I would just tap on the brake to disengage the cruise and then reset at the appropriate time.
