• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Just got mine tucked back in its normal garage spot. Just arrived home from my 5+ day ride to the Arkansas mountains and back. Led a group of three Honda CTX1300’s and an Indian Chieftain through three days of routes in the Ozarks. Got home today showing 2,487.5mi and 45.0hr for the 5-1/2 days...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode it - 824 miles in 14-1/2 hours from the Southern tip of Texas to Clarksville, AR, to attend a meetup with some folks from the Honda CTX1300 forum. Would have been quicker, but I had to stop in Nacogdoches, TX, for about 40 mins to let a mean-looking storm front pass by. Then I got to ride...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a clamp-on MRA X-Creen Sport deflector on my F3-S’s Route 129 Windshield. I haven’t yet had a chance to take a ride with it, and probably won’t before I leave early Wednesday morning for my 862 mile ride to Arkansas. I'm hoping it will take a little more air pressure off the bottom of...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a set of Viking Raven 40-liter saddlebags on my wife’s F3-S this evening. Had just gotten the first bracket mounted, and we were marking the bags for drilling the bolt holes when the electricity went out in our whole neighborhood. So, I finished the install by way of headlights from my...

Is there a Spyder's in the Ozarks date for 2025?

Good news that a get-together is being cobbled together! Bad news for me - I will be ryding in the Harrison/Jasper/Clarksville area of AR the following weekend. My wife and I rode our two F3-S’s from South Texas to the ‘23 Nixa get-together. Had a blast!

Have mine set about 180 on the ground on my ‘17 F3-S.

Anyone going to Rumble on The River - Bandera, Texas - Sept 26-28 2025?

My wife will be in that general area on her F3-S, participating in a 'BRP Women Of On-Road' get-together in Kerrville that weekend. All women Can Am 3-wheel riders. I will be attending an annual meetup with some Honda CTX1300 riders in North-Central Arkansas that weekend on my F3-S.

Where are you from? Where do you live?

Born, raised, and lifelong resident of the Rio Grande Valley at the very southern tip of Texas. Odd … that word “ Valley” would lead you to believe there would be mountains (or at least hills) nearby, of which there are exactly zero. Closest thing to a hill for 100 miles is a highway overpass...

HELP: U-Haul Enclosed 6’x12’ - Anyone tried one? Any tips or tricks?

Yup - well, an F3-S. My wife hauled hers 550 miles in a UHaul 6’x 12’ enclosed trailer. But you MUST be sure to get one with the double swing-out doors, not the roll-up door.

How many of your Spouse's ride their own machines?

The spousal unit actually bought hers first, so she could quit riding pillion on my 2-wheeler. She had her own 2-wheeler until she low-sided it in a curve, and that pretty much scared her off 2 wheels. But after a couple of years riding pillion, she got tired of looking at the back of my helmet...

    New Uhaul trailer coming?

Well... I gave it “the old college try”, but was not able to load them. We got 5” of rain yesterday/last night, and the wet tire and ramp was causing the rear tire to try to spin out and slide sideways once all three were on the ramps. With no spotter to help, I decided to quit while I was...

    New Uhaul trailer coming?

Price for local rental was $89.95 per day. We have a 16’ utility trailer on our farm, but it wasn’t wide enough between the rails to lay those tires down flat. Plus, IT HAS KENDA TIRES ON IT !! No way am I gonna pull it 550 total miles at highway speeds with those old, crappy, bias-ply tires on...

Anyone purchased from an out of town dealer? Is this common? Any concerns?

Bought my ‘17 F3-S Daytona as a new, never-titled, sub-80-mile unit in 2022 from an Indiana dealer. Three or four phone calls to check on a few things/extra included parts, a couple of emails back and forth, and a call to HaulBikes - about 3 weeks later it showed up at my door in deep South...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Leroy73 - a question for you. I was wondering - if you are running your aux tank feed line to the main tank vent, then wouldn’t a vented cap on the aux tank be sufficient? Only reason I ask, is because a vented cap was all I had on the 4.9gal aux tank on my ‘98 Honda Magna w/o fuel injection. I...

    New Uhaul trailer coming?

Tires are fully on the ramps, but just flush with the insides of the ramps. Should allow you at least 4 inches of leeway before a catastrophic “crunch”! Hence my saying a spotter would be very helpful, and slow-and-easy is the word of the day - especially coming off. Definitely doable. But...

    New Uhaul trailer coming?

Rented one of these today. They call it their Toy Hauler. It is a 16’ flatbed utility trailer. I rented it for very different reasons from hauling a Spyder!! But when I got home this evening, I did a little checking on how it would work with the Spyders. First off - this is a Heavy Duty...

Help please, I'm confused about the F3 handlebar options

Comparing thumbnail pics above, it looks like the Attitude bars have more pullback out at the bar ends, as well as being a longer reach. I have thought about getting regular bars for mine, instead of the Drag bars (think "almost straight" - like a broomstick). However, I would need to change...

Help please, I'm confused about the F3 handlebar options

Don’t know much about the Attitude bars, but the description under Specifications on the long-reach bars sounds like what you are after.
