• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will the 1330 engine adjust based on gas octane changes?

87 is what I run 90% of the time in my Daytona. 5,300+ miles in 16 months with no problems.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Mine’s a tad quieter w/ the secondary baffle installed than my wife’s w/o the secondary baffle. But I wear a full-faced helmet w/ earplugs , so I don’t notice any sound change at highway speeds. I do, however, notice that there’s a little less heat radiating up from below in my “bubble” behind...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed new Vredestein front tires on my wife’s F3-S, and installed a RLS primary pipe w/ secondary baffle on my F3-S Daytona.

Today’s jaunt through the South Texas Brush Country

Been putting lots of time in recently running a tractor on the farm, so today I treated myself to a 370mi ride. Left Rio Hondo right before 8am, stopped for ‘brunch’ at a Whataburger in Robstown, gassed up in Alice, turned back south at Freer, topped off with gas in Hebbronville, then meandered...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Changed the engine oil/filter/o-rings on the ‘17 Daytona, and added Show Chrome drain plugs while I was at it. Also, in prep for our upcoming 2-Spyder trip from south Texas to NW Arkansas, I also added a Lamonster IPS Pack Rack, as well as one of their Monster Mounts for accessories above the...

    To Windshield or.....

Have had both the gauge spoiler and now the Route 129 on my Daytona. Have yet to switch back to the spoiler. And, in the next month or so, will be striking out on a 2,500+ mile week-long trip with the Route 129 fastened. So far am content with the Route 129. A better review I wrote up of these...

Leaving to ride to Boca Chica

Hope you didn’t get rained on while down here. Visited that suspension bridge last year (my sister lives down the road at Goldthwaite). It definitely moves when crossing in a Ford Expedition. Could you feel it on the RT?

Leaving to ride to Boca Chica

Kenedy- as in, next to Karnes City? I like your route. Staying off the big roads. I have not ridden mine on the sand. I know vehicles drive on the beach, but I don’t want the corrosion - or the possibility of getting stuck. Would invite myself to ride out there with you, but I’m on a John...

Leaving to ride to Boca Chica

Come on down!! I live about 30 miles from Boca Chica (45 driving miles), and have ridden down there several times. You can get right up close and personal, especially at the launch area. Quite the sight. And a nice twisty road after the checkpoint on Hwy 4, but a little beat up from truck...

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

Sounds like the Ryker Sport is already picked for her. So, now, for you. Since she’ll be on her own ride, may look into the F3 line. A little sportier than the R/T’s and can be had in many different configurations (S, L, T). Occasional 2-up trips should be do-able. They also have the U-Fit...

Drag Racing at South Texas “Blaze in the Brush” bike gathering

Attended a “small” bike rally this afternoon here in Deep South Texas. JCS Performance out of McAllen was sponsoring the get-together, featuring 1/4mile drag racing. Racing classes included one for 3-wheeled vehicles only!! Saw 3 Vanderhalls, 2 Slingshots, one Ryker, and several Harley trikes...
