• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What price should I be asking for a 2014 RT Limited Seat & Backrest?

FWIW, when I bought my Spyder in 2014, I purchased the Comfort Seat because of the extra leg room it afforded. A good friend had a '15/'16 RT limited, don't remember which, that he had purchased an Ultimate seat for but did not like and wanted to try a Russell Day Long. He sold the Ultimate and...

Right side fairing pushpins in fairing won't line up - any ideas?

You say you tried adjusting the "bent" pin. What did you do in "adjusting" it? You can flex the upper side panel to get the "bent" pin into its grommet and then push the straight pin into its grommet. If you put a spritz of Windex on each grommet it makes inserting the push pins easier to slip...

Oil Change on 2016 RTS is a pain

You can flex the top side panels, both left and right, to get the curved push pin in their respective holes. I always do the curved pins first and then the straight ones. A spritz of Windex on the rubber grommets will aid in getting the pins in, and when it dries, just a few min, the grommets...

    How Much Oil To Add?

The BRP writers who author the Operator's Guides used the same picture of the RS dipstick from the year it was introduced, 2010, until its last year of production, 2016 (Copying is always easier than original research. Ask any 2014 RT owner who found an incorrect picture of the new 1330 ACE...

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

In Sept. of last year I ordered online a pair of Vredestein Quatrac 165/60 R15 from Tire Rack and, with prior arrangement, had them shipped to the dealership where I purchased the roadster in 2014. When the tires arrived at the dealership, they called me and I took a morning to ride there and...

Will changing out the front shocks help prevent lifting one front wheel in tight corners?

Since you've added Ron's sway bar, why not ask him? He won't steer you wrong just to make a sale. FWIW, going on 11 years and 91K+ miles with Ron's sway bar from the start I've never lifted a front wheel, even when the hooligan factor was high. Slow down, lean into the turns and plant your...

My search for the perfect oil funnel? What's yours?

The one for my Spyder is an orange cross between your long silver one and the long blue one in your pic. Don't remember where I got it or what I bought it for but it works very well and allows the oil bottle to drain fully while I'm opening the next one.

Is a BEST extended warranty a good idea? What's the process on selling your BEST warrantied Spyder?

I purchased the B.E.S.T. extended warranty because the 1330 ACE engine was new and the roadster is a rolling computer. It expired unused. Would I do so again? From what I read about problems with the newer Spyders, absolutely. The key to save bucks on it by shopping around, as you can purchase...

I've refueled the roadster 577 times (2,100 gal.) since I rolled away from the dealership 10 1/2 years ago and have averaged 37.2 with a low of 28 and small change blowing into a vicious headwind on I-40W at 85 mph in OK and a high of 45+ just puttering around on a day in CO in 2017. I learned...

First ride of the season where you live; what's your backside been doing for the last 4-5 or more months? Unfortunately, only your butt can tell you. The possibly least expensive try would be an Air Hawk.
